  1. Thanks very much for the offer, yes I am very close to you. I have sent you a PM.
  2. I need to double check this, but looks you are right about the Durametric. No mention of cruise control, but Park Assist has a "No" under coding - how annoying! http://www.durametric.com/modelfeaturematrixv6.aspx#997
  3. Haven't yet had a chance to look into the wire that needs to go to the CU Gateway. Can anyone confirm if Park Assist can be activated using Durametric or must it be PIWIS? My specialist has Durametric, not PIWIS. Also need to activate a Cruise Control retrofit, so same question? Thanks
  4. Still a little confused - do you know where the CU Gateway is located on the car? Thanks
  5. I thought the Diagnostic socket was where you plug in a Durametric lead (just under the glove box, passenger side RHD model), it didn't feel right, but we tried to splice it into a Orange/Blue wire coming out of the back of the "Diagnostic socket" and managed to lose the instrument cluster (went completely dead), we had to remove that connection, and the cluster came back on. Am I completely in the wrong place?
  6. I am struggling to work out where the OG/BU (Orange/Blue) wire from the Park Assist Control unit runs to. The wire runs from the B3 Pin which is labelled "Diagnosis" in the park assist control unit to something called "SP035_SPK_STRICH". It joins at this point and goes onto the "Diagnosis Plug Socket" (the A3 Pin which is labelled k-lead). I believe the wire needs to be connected to the PCM but not sure. Has anyone any idea? Attached is the wiring diagram for this area. Apologies but the picture is not clear at all, it is on Sheet 7 CU Gateway of a 997.1 Wiring PDF.
  7. I need male/female pins for this White connector in the picture below. Was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction? The connector is WHITE and sits in the passenger compartment on the 997 C2S Gen 1 2005. Just behind the front passenger seat, near the door, but under the carpet. It is a 30 pin connector TSX2_2. The 6 open slots are for Park Assist wires.
  8. Managed to source the connectors on eBay. It proved to be a very difficult part to source. If it helps anyone looking at this:
  9. These are pictures of the control unit. I am just after the part number of the connector/loom that plug into this unit. The control unit is located under the passenger seat, if anyone with park assist, and doesn't mind having a look. I believe it should be a VW/Audi part number. Thanks
  10. I am in the process of gathering all the bits I need to retrofit parking sensors on my Gen 1 997 So far I have managed to get: Parking sensors x4 P/N: 955.606.275.01 Parking sensors' loom P/N 997.612.661.00 Control unit P/N 996.618.171.03 Sensor mounts x4: No part number I now need to source the connectors for the Control unit - if I understand correctly, these would need to be cut from a loom in a car already with parking sensors. Does anyone have any idea what the part numbers might be for the connectors to the control unit? Or perhaps where I can source the connectors from, I am guessing this is Audi/VW, but without part numbers for the connectors to the control unit, this will be impossible to trace? Thanks

  12. Hi Is it possible to change the fuel filter on a 997? The service manager at my OPC siad it's not possible. Surely this is incorrect, and not changing it will cause problems later down the line? Thanks
