  1. 8. If the windows go up to about 3" below the maximum and no further, the microswitch inside the window latch has failed. This is a known problem and about a $3 repair to reseat it. What is or where is the window latch microswitch? Thank you
  2. So the driver side one is fine Loren? I want to make sure im not replacing the wrong one :x
  3. Well After a small trip last night and this morning the infamous CEL is back. With only 3 codes now I guess plugging the passenger side o2 sensor did help with 2 codes. I now only have these to worry about: p1117- oxygen sensor bank1 sensor 2 Oxygen Sensor Heating 1 After Catalytic Converter - Below Lower Limit p1125- cylinder 4-6 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Lean Threshold p1123- cylinder 1-3 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Lean Threshold So what do you think Loren? Toolpants? Any member with knowledge?
  4. Hmm, The last time I checked the dash brake light does turn on when I pull that guy up.. Ill check again now ofcourse.
  5. Hopefully nothing is damaged either Loren, Only the electrical plug was undone, The o2 sensor was still in the CAT itself. Only the one of the passenger side was out the driver side was in and plugged in. Hopefully will this 1 o2 sensor cancel out all 5 CELs? Lol that would be amazing..
  6. Ok I just an examine to the o2 sensors, and guess what! If you're talking about the ones that are at the ends of the cats then the one on the passenger side o2 sensor fell out and wasnt even plugged in!!!! AHHG! Dam mechanic! Would this help any of my CEL?? I plugged it back in. Would I still need to change 1 o2 sensor now? Or both? Loren Help!
  7. Sounds like my next move, could it be some broken rods or arms?
  8. The car has 75k. So im looking to change which 2 oxygen sensors? The ones INside the cat or on the pipe itself? I get confused which are which. Thanks for the fast reply LOREN!
  9. For some particular reason. My convertible top on my 97 boxster decided not to work anymore. Here is what I've done and such.. Convertible top light does turn on to check when ignition is put in then turns off Ebrake up Unlatch the top (Windows come down 2 inches if windows arent already down) Push Convertible top button and NOTHING? No noises no grinding sound NOTHING. Also im not sure if the convertible top light in the dash is suppose to turn on when I unlatch the top or is it in the middle of the pulling back motion? I forgot! Anyways this is what I have tried to fix it: Tap/drop the convertible top relay Push/repeatedly that micro switch that the top latches onto Any other ideas? Next on my list would to be buy a relay and see if that might help but thats a 80 dollar investment that might not work? Is this my last resort? Tool pants? Loren? Larger porsche brain person then me?? Thank you
  10. Hello All, Im new here and this site has helped so much. Im trying to fix these 5 codes that just came up recently. Car is a 97 Porsche boxster. I dont think any TSB or recalls have been done to it if there are any that would help. Please give me your insight Toolpants, Loren! Anyone with a larger porsche brain then I! Thank you. Here is what I could pull up: p1117- oxygen sensor bank1 sensor 2 Oxygen Sensor Heating 1 After Catalytic Converter - Below Lower Limit p0140-Oxygen Sensor After Catalytic Converter (cylinders 1 - 3) - Interruption of Signal p1125- cylinder 4-6 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Lean Threshold p1123- cylinder 1-3 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Lean Threshold p1121 Oxygen Sensor Heating 2 After Catalytic Converter - Below Lower Limit I think I need to replace an o2 sensor? Do I replace the one in the Cat or outside on the pipe and where is this darn sucker I keep hearing about! Pics would be greatly appreciated
