  1. I may take you up on the PIWIS offer. I did replace two of the sensors and the brain box. Its a 2006 C4S. If I decide to take a ride north after the PCA key largo brunch SAT i will PM you.
  2. Thanks. I will see if the dealer can reset with PIWIS.
  3. about two months ago, i got a tpms fault. lost both readings on the right side. did some research and assumed the sensor batteries were dead. replaced the sensors with new ones and did the set procedure still unable to get the readings back. I then bought a durametric to check the fault codes. all were clean. i took the car to a porsche garage and piwis did not detect any faults. still would give me learning message which turns to inactive after driving a while, 20 plus miles. Replaced the tpms controller box. same results.... what else!!!!! please help JJ
  4. I just paid 825.00 to the collection in miami for the pass regulator replacement!!!!!
  5. In all honesty I have not really looked into it since this car is in my summer home in Puerto Rico and have not been there si a few months however, my wife did used it a few times afterward and the fuel indication is erratic but the vehicle is drivable. I know or should say strongly believe its the battery (one underneath the driver seat). The car starts normally since the start battery is in the cargo area. I plan on replacing both as soon as I make it down there or get my wife to get my local SJU mechanic to do it for me on her schedule. She has another car there so it is not on her MOST due things....you understand... Hope your issue is the same....
  6. The wifey used her Cayenne this morning for routine shopping and returned home without event. Went to use it again about 2hrs later and the ABS light / Brake Proportioning message were ON. The digital speedo climbe to 90+MPH (indicated only) while parked. Unable to move the move when in reverse. Restarted but all remains the same.... Any help - Is it the battery taking a dive?
  7. What are you selling? Do you know if my car has the harness installed? Is it just plug/play?

  8. I just noticed a ticking noise from what seems the RH of the engine at idle. Any ideas where to look. Only does it when warm. almost like a valve or plug...
  9. ...When you get the correct disc I would advise pulling the fuse for the PCM to reset it and the insert the correct nav disc into the DVD drive up front. That should take care of your issue... RIGHT ON. Pulled the fuse and inserted the 4.2005 DVD and voala'. works as designed. I found great info on several technical bulletins from the download section. Thanks to all for your assistance.
  10. My, new to me, 2006 Carrera 4S, displays the cut-out message anytime the car is re-started and the radio is selected ON. The dealer did a PCM re-set and tried to install a NAV DVD but if fails to load due to the power interruption of the cut out protection. I did noticed if you re-start the radio two or three times, it then stays ON and works ok. (No NAV). Today the dealer re checked and said I need a new PCM. I had read a thread that for a similar problem a reset and proper CD/DVD install resolved the issue. The PCM was quoted at $1700 plus two labor hours at $145. PLUS I would then need to get the correct nav CD/DVD from 888-NAV-MAPS. My questions; (1) Has anyone experienced this? (2) Is the PCM - the radio unit? (3) Can I install a later version PCM? 3.0? any advised is welcomed.... JJ
