  1. Hello, I have a cdr23 unit in my 03 gt3 and am wondering if I could plug something into the unit through an aux cable directly? I don't have the head unit rival tool so instructions for removal would be really helpful and if anyone has a photo of the back of the unit to show where the aux cable goes that would be awesome!! Thanks cg
  2. I have the b and m unit installed at first it was not smooth but as the control return unit began to wear down a little the shifts were very short and precise I think it's an excellent mod!
  3. Just going to use the gt3 part and not the rs part ain't hoping to fool anybody just thought a black decal would look better than a boot badge as mine is also a 996 gt3
  4. Hello I am looking for a black GT3RS decal for my 996 I belivw orange and green 997 rs has black decals on the decklid does anyone know their part numbers?? Thanks cg
  5. Hk dealers are very restrictive on small options for cars like the gt3 they normally would have a preorder quota of standard colours and specs so I doubt that for us rhd owners we could specify a side airbag delete. They give us a base price with tax free accessories and the bill builds up from there!
  6. Thanks DC I guess I will just leave it alone then if it does nothing to communicate with the ecu Thanks this place is great to get technical help for Porsches
  7. I think it's a standard thing on all right hand drive 996s to have side bags
  8. Mine is a touring with full cage (owner specified) with electric sports seats. I have looked at almost all rhd gt3s available for sale in my vicinity and all of them CS or otherwise seem to have side bags and rear speaker meshes...I never knew the speakers were not connected though!
  9. wow that was real quick! halfway across the world and i get an instant reply to my problem thats excellent! the lower larger air duct at the front bumper or at the spoiler air duct? (sorry for the stupid Qs I m moving into Porsches from Japanese Toy Cars) Thanks CG
  10. Hello...I am new here, i have a RHD 996 GT3 in HK...the car was involved in a heavy rear impact accident which destroyed the rear bumper and one side of the exhaust and an exhaust sensor. I had the car repaired and resprayed in a new color and recently I have the following message coming up on the dash: 'Outside Air Temperature Sensor Failure' and the temperature dial when called up either goes to --.-- oC or shows something ridiculous like 60 oC and drops to 45 or so rapidly before going back to --.--oC again, the funny thing is it seems to intermittently work after the car is switched off. Check engine light does not come on and as far as I can tell no adverse effect is recognized to performance or the temperature of the A/C. Apart from the dash display everything seems fine.... I would therefore like to know: 1. Where this outside temp sensor is ( I suspect if its on the wing mirrors the body shop probably misfitted it) and... 2. If I leave it alone will it effect performance? (i.e. is this outside air temp a sensor that is used to calculate A/F mixture or send signals back to the ECU?) Thanks so much! CG962 from HK
