  1. You could try a coat of rain-x to fill the pits? Can't remember where I heard about that, but it's meant to work if the pits aren't too deep.
  2. 102K on my 99 C2. RMS at 50K and water pump at 95K. There's some knocking after start up on cold mornings which lasts about 1 min, otherwise it runs great. Still looking for reasons to run to the store...
  3. After reading that great DIY, I'm inspired to try this. I found an aftermarket water pump on Automotion for only $135: http://www.automotion.com/product.asp?pf_id=P916393&dept_id=4329 Anyone have any experience with this unit? I like to save money as much as the next guy, but I'd rather not have to replace this thing again in six months.
