  1. I have been running my wife's new model Cayenne Diesel for a couple of weeks with a set of 19 inch (on 275 45 19 N1 Pirellis) old model Cayenne alloys. There were no problems fitting them on the vehicle - correct match to bold holes. no fouling of brake calipers, and no apparent contact at extremes of sterring lock. Also, there are no apparent issues when driving on the wheels. My only comment would be that there seems to be a (very) slight increase in road noise (and this may be due to the well worn (but legal) 19inch tyres that were on the wheels. All the Best, John
  2. Hi, I have a new Cayenne (August 2010) and a set of old Cayenne 19 inch alloys, which I would like to fit for Summer running I have heard conflicting views, but wondered if anyone knew the true situation? If I do just try fitting the 19 inch wheels, what are the dangers if they are not suitable? Many Thanks, WhiskeyCorner.
  3. Dear Flying Bob, I have bought some old Cayenne 19 inch wheels for my new Cayenne (due end July). With the benefit of having both a new Cayenne plus your old Cayenne wheels, have you been able to confirm if Porsche are correct, or if they are just looking to make money on wheel upgrades? As someone who seems to understand some of the technical intracacies - what is the actual problem with fitting old wheels to new Cayennes? Very Best Regards, WhiskyCorner
