  1. Well, that was a little harsher than my response, but you pretty much summed up what's going through my brain.
  2. I have no stats to back this up, but it sure seems like nearly everyone gets in at least one accident between the age of 16 and 18. The chances of that accident being a high speed, substantial wreck seem like they would be greatly increased in a fast sports car. Kids deal with a TREMENDOUS amount of peer pressure. Chances are good your kid WILL drive that car 150 mph. He WILL test it's limits on his favorite curvy road. Chances are he WILL drive drunk in it. Chances are he will let friends drive it. To me... this decision has nothing to do with money, cool factor, reliability, maintenance costs or anything else. It has everything to do with your son's safety. Obviously I don't know him.... You do. I think it would be a rare teenager that could handle the responsibility that would come with that car. If your son is that guy, ok. If I were you, though, I would base 100% of my decision on your child's safety. Good luck.
  3. I have an '03 and can currently open and close the top while moving. Would I lose that capability if it's already there?
  4. The whole system including the install was about $3000 They want to charge me 1500 for JUST the empty sub enclosure... Sounds high. Especially if you paid 3000 for the entire install. Does the 3000 include the cost of the components, or just the installation itself?
  5. That sub enclosure is exactly what I want! How much did they charge you?
