All 4 oxygen sensors bad at one time - not very likely.
Please tell us exactly all the codes (previous also if you remember).
Originally it started when I put in one of these K&N air intakes and got the ABS and PSM lights to go on. At that time I was going to change the MAF sensor but a friend of mine that works at Porsche told me to change back to the old air intake. So I did and that took care of the problem. Then a few weeks after that the cel light went on again and the codes were Bank 1 Sensor, Bank 2 Sensor on the right side. Don't remember the exact code, but the guy who ran the codes told me just to change all 4. So I did.

My check engine went on and i had the codes checked had a needed to replace my oxygen sensors, so i changed all 4 of them and cleared the codes. 2 days later i get a check engine light again and the new code is Camshaft adjustment 1325.
Any imput would be appreciated. By the way I have a 99 C4 with 60K miles.

I Have a C4 and eventhough I don't use it as a daily driver, I do take my car skiing. The most important thing are the snow tires.
As far as the kids are concerned, well I hope they are small because from what I remember there is not a lot of room in the back. Especially if you decided to go for a 1 hr+ drive to the slopes.

I got a guy that works at the NYC Porsche dealer and does some work on the weekends. PM me for his contacts if interested.

AS I said before....
Battery...!!!
Motor turning over a bit slower than normal during startup....
I checked my brake fluid also, and it is good. In terms of battery, well I just replaced it in January. No problems in starting, as it turns over on the first try.
I will need to check the ABS sensors.

If it only is the low brake fluid, I will be a very happy man! I would hate to mess around and need to change the MAF sensor.

I was told by my dealer Manhattan Motor Cars, that they don't have OEM rubber mats for the 996. Did I get the wrong info?

I have a 99 C4, and this weekend I went for a drive and my ABS light went on along with PSM/off. I did not do any hard braking or anything like that, It just went on during the drive. After pulling over and re-starting the car, the light's went off.
This is the second time this happened this month, eventhough the lights go off after re-starting, I wanted to know if anybody experienced this, or has an idea of what might be causing this.

Use an electronics contact cleaner that leaves no residue. Make absolutely sure it says on the can that it is plastic safe or else it will gooify it and you will have to buy a new one
Can you recommend one that you use?

I have it in for about 8 months, with no problems. It's not a performance modification, but purely for sound reasons. This will not be necessary if you get an exhaust upgrade.

Dan,
Where did you get the new handle for this price?
Also, has anyone ever considered changing the lever system to the electronic button system the newer Carreras have?
I just bought a new one and changed it out. I don't think that replacing the handle in place and having it look good will be very easy.Pulling the whole unit apart is not that tough. The worst part is having to pay ~$75-80 for the new handle.

Wanted to know if the following wheels will fit my 99 C4 narrow body. Looking to get some snow tires and wanted to clarify if this set will fit?
Snow tires on factory "solid spoke turbo twists" Fronts wheels are 8x18" (50et) offset, front tires are 225/40VR/18. The rear wheels are 18x10" (47et) offset, rear tires are 265/35/VR18.
and
summer tires on 18X11" (45et) and two 18x8"(50et) "hollow spoke factory turbo twists"
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the tips and the info.

I get vibrations when braking at higher speeds, primarily felt in the pedal and the seat. I'm getting ready to change my rear rotors and pads, but I just wanted to make sure that I don't misdiagnose and change the rear for no reason. If it was the front's that were warped, then I should feel the vibrations primarily in the steering weel, right?.
