I would like to help Loren and Renntech get off to a big start in its efforts to add new contributing members and get additional donations from current members for the 2014 board operating expenses.
During the month of December I will offer PET 7.3 ( for windows 32 bit) to anyone that becomes a contributing member of Renntech or a current member that makes a new donation of atleast $25 to RENNTECH for only an additional USD$25 ( contribution to support my 964 restore fund..).
For more information or details please PM or email me.
Thank you

I noted that a few Porsche owners on some forums are looking for prior versions of the Durametric software. I know that 6.3 and 5.1.3 are the only versions available on their website. Does anyone have older versions? It looks like the library should try to get a few and keep them available for those that may need them for various reasons.
If you have older versions can you let me know? I will be happy to exchange a few files with you.

The PIWIS site is difficult to navigate and find the proper information. Not only that but after finding the info, it doesn't save or print out properly. I have had finally been able to get the Cayenne manuals updated thru 2013. I have attached a small file relating to the cooling system for you to check out
This is for educational purposes only obviously.
If you have questions or are interested in additional information please PM or email only.

And that's the beauty of the digital versions that Porsche made for the dealers. However the best thing is to send me a PM if you want information on the 996 TT or GT2 manuals.

This is how Porsche says one does the oil change on the Panamera.
PM for more or other info...

Actually I have the wiring diagrams for the Porsche models from 2005 thru 2011. Problem is that it it a very large program ( over 1 gig) and covers all models and years and I can not seperate by model/year so it is all or nothing.
-
I have the Cayenne manuals with supplements up thru 2012 in PDF.

Current PET is v7.3 U315 If you are interested send me a PM or email.and I can help you.

Yes there is a known problem with a KTS500 or Porsche PST2 tester that was updated as Porsche recommended.
Porsche removed the bleed function from PST2 software version 17 so if the shop did the right thing and updated the PST2 software up to version 24 they can not bleed the brakes with the PST2 however if they have the Bosch/Porsche hammer that will do the job.

Just a note the current version is 7.3 update is 300 and current price list is #61
If you need assistance getting updated let me know via PM or email.
Price list is #62 as of yesterday.
And here it is for everyone..

You need to change your cable. Release 5 and 6 require a special chip in the cable that the pirated cable from China does not have.

I cam make you a HD that runs PST2 for the IBM 600E ( you use your same card and cables) and it usally works on the PST2 unit too. If you need the IBM 600E you should be able to find a good one on Ebay for about $60. The problem is now getting the drives as the old laptops or windows 3.11 are not programed to function with 300 gig drives. A good source I have used is http://www.driveguys...HTJOD187&Cc=IDE if you can find "new old stock" or reconditioned or such 2.5 PATA drive and it should be atleast 6 gigs or more. I know the PST2 has a much smaller HD but the cloning or program install process seems to have a better success rate with a little more room.
I just bought a 600E with a 10 gig drive for $50 and a new battery for $35 and it works perfectly.
Actually the IBM runs faster that the PST2, displays in color, and is reparable and replacable as opposd to the PST2 unit. The only advantage of the PST2 over the IBM is that the PST2 will draw power through the cable from the car to run if the unit battery is dead while the IBM will not.
I found this site that has says its 10 20 and 30 gig HDs are new..

Autozone advertises that they will read check engine codes free. It might be worth a try. If you get the code(s) I can let you know what they indicate.

But what about updating the PCM1 such as listed below from another site

Porsche PCM1-16 bit Update 2010-2011
An update is available -
You can PM or email me and I can help you. You may have already noticed that Porsche made the 993 turbo manuals as a supplemental set to the 993 manuals that are on Ebay or elsewhere.
-
You may be able to order a replacement HD with V 31 installed from a few sources in the Far East.
-
Excellent - this makes me happy.
Do you happen to have a deck-lid assembly on the turbo? Specifically how i can detach the top winglet from the bottom main lid.
Tekky
PET does not have wiring diagrams. It is a parts program and database. It has exploded views of the parts. If you want the wiring diagrams for the 2010 models let me know through PM
-
I presume you are looking for OBDII codes for the 997. The best thing would be to PM or email me the details and we can see what we can do.
-
I have always powered the KTS 520 ( and 550 ) from the car thru the USB cable, except if reprograming the alarm system as the power turns off in the car in about 30 seconds.
-
Are you using the standard OBDII cable? If so that is your problem as Porsche uses a different wiring scheme than all the other car makers.
-
Isn't that one of the problems that is leading to the catastrophic engine failure on the 996 engines? When the deviation doesn't match but is not enough out of range to throw a code so one keeps driving until ........... Also check if the deviation is the same at idle after reving the engine a couple of times.
