  1. I installed the PCCM+ in my 04 996TT Cab and it's a nice improvement. I agree with above comments that the volume does seem reduced fromnthe original Porsche PCM but that's ok. 1 do have 2 questions. 1) what is the firmware update info or TSB to correct the trip odometer issue? And 2) is there a way to trick the radio to think thebcar is not moving so nav input or Bluetooth connections may be made ( ofcourse by passenger!!!) while driving?
  2. Thank you. Just to clarify... The language is set to English but it is nteresting these specific fault messages were in German. And thank you to your wife, however when I use development/engineering mode ( which displays messages in German ) I just use my Google translate app.
  3. A friend of mine has 991.2 and was having an issue with rear camera and rear parking sensors. I scanned the car with my PIWIS 3 and got the following attached error message. Recommendations please
  4. I have a PIWIS 3 which is the current Porsche diagnostic computer.
  5. I am looking for information on DIY fluid replacement on 2018 991.2 for PDCC, PDK, and All wheel control box. Thank yop
  6. What about a multifunction steering wheel in a 996 with the newer PCCM+ system?
  7. Thank you, however, there is no horn or connector on either side of the battery or in frunk area infront of the windsheild.
  8. Here is similar photo from the car. Please note the harness doesn't have connector for the horn.
  9. I agree but this one has different alarm module and no alarm near the battery
  10. Trying to help a friend...he has a 2004 boxster with M525 alarm ( not usual M535 alarm in most US models) Where is the alarm horn located? It is not in the front trunk by the battery. Car keeps popping alarm fuses
  11. What about adding the steering wheel with radio controls? I have a 2010 997.2 S with sand beige interior. I would like to uograde to the radio controls on the steering wheel. I've only seen Cayenne/Panamera steering wheels in Beige with the controls. Is it the same size and will it work ( I know I will also need the control module and connections to the radio)
  12. Its the subwoofr that keeps producing sound and the other speakers that shut off. However, I will take the cover orr and check the connections and the amp that I believe is located just below the subwoofer.
  13. Ok happened a few more times and checked and when sound is muffled its ionly coming from the subwoofer...
  14. I have a 997.2 with Bose PCM system and about once a month I'll start the car and the radio sounds very muffled. Then next time I start the car it's fine for another few weeks
  15. I am trying to help a friend with my PIWIS 3 as he is having an issue with his 2019 GT3 RS and cant find the section in my PIWIS 3 41.1 to bleed to coolant to the proper level. We've looked where it is for the 991 but it doesn't seen to come up when plugged into the GT3 RS
  16. The Rennsport Dragon Rally is October 2st to October 23rd. I am headed up from South Florida with a few others. If you are also going from Floroda and want to meet up on Wedneaday as we drive to Atlanta or Thursday from Atlanta to Fontana NC please post or send me a PM.
  17. Yes I used them last year to rebuild the hydrolics on my cab and this year on the rear spoiler. Costs 1/3rd of the electric kit, 1/5th of the Porsche replacment and is 100% original look. One can have them rebuild the set a few tines before it costs the same or more than thise alternatives.
  18. I'm getting a air-conditioning fault code 35 with my PIWIS 3. I know I ha e a 996 Turbo but I think this should be same on NA or Turbo cars
  19. Have you thought of using these exotic and expensive options?
  20. Im.looking to improve the handling a bit on my DAILY DRIVER 996TT but I don't not want to lower it. I like to do occasional DE with PCA and a few spirited drives ( Rennsport Dragon Run etc..) a year. Any suggestions to improve suspension without lowering the car?
  21. When you recommend the GT2 exhaust are you saying just the GT2 muffler and reuse the 996TT cats?
  22. Where did you apply the Finish Line Max Suspension Spray?
  23. I should have posted this earlier but the simplest thing to try first was to swap out the A/C control module and its worked fine since. I borrowed one from a local shop and since that worked I bought what looked like a clean ( returnable ) unit on Ebay for $200 and its worked fine since.
