  2. I think the LNN is overpriced and have heard from more than a few Porsche shops that LNN doesn't stand by their product after the 1 year warranty is up. I haven't heard of any failures yet from the EPS IMS upgrade/replacement.
  3. Best prices on 100% Sachs clutch kit for the 996TT is on eBay. It seems a Sach distributor is selling them below what I know a couple Porsche parts distributors can buy them at..
  4. I have the Porsche PCM system and was wondering how current an I upgrade the NAV system? And what audio upgrades, backup camera or such can I do without replacing the whole system? Two updates.. First. Yes the car is amazing and certainly more than fast enough without any mods. Secondly, I've been careful about the front lip but valet drivers don't seem to care so I bought a replacement off eBay. It looks almost identical bjtbuts a softer plastic so more forgiving. Best deal I've found for a porsche, only $72.
  5. Top fixed ( had cylinders rebuilt at less than half Porsche cost) and had to replace the front spoiler lip as EVERY valet would scrap and loosen the spoiler so finally I had to replace it. I bought a softer polyurethane one off Ebay for $70 and it looks great.

New to me Cayenne 2008 base.  Tailgate assisted open/close works but lift does not, no sounds.  Very heavy lid.  Fuse 31 is good.  Same response with either door button or key fob.  I have gathered a lot of manual sections but no hint on diagnostics short of perhaps testing for voltage at hydraulic lift motor.  Presumably there's a relay somewhere?  Is an

    inexpensive OBDII adaptor / Torque Pro screen likely to show a fault?  No faults shown on dashboard.  Is there diagnostic documentation I can obtain?  Thanks so much in advance!

      I have only parts catalog, condensed service manual and owners man.  Nothing on diags, OBDII etc.  Thank you for the response! 

      I recall reading somewhere that rear hatch powerlift may be disabled due to low battery - just replaced the (10 year old!) battery.  The seller claims the lift worked fine before it was shipped to me.  ?? thnx

      Hatch power lift failure eventually traced to intermittent microswitch on upper latch, and top ball/socket

      of hydraulic lift cylinder having lost its retaining ring and becoming disconnected.  Not an easy one.

  8. I was able to order a few for a couple shops. Email me forbmore information. The durametric cable ( from the USB port to the car ) does not work with a PIWIS or PIWIS 2
  9. It looks likebI need to replace the clutch in my 2004 996TT. I am getting some slip from 3k rpm to 4k rpm. I am curious about going with Sachs OEM or other. Any imput and recommendations would be appreciated.
  10. What about the material in the diagnostic manual? The 996 diagnistic manual covers mist idnthe electronics ( abs, seat memory.....)
  11. First order of business is to correct the top. I need to replace the hydraulic cylinders. Does anyone know the lengh of the hoses in 2004 996 TT cabriolet? I need to send the proper set to exchange and that way I can open everthing up remove and replace, close and reprogram one time. Thanks
  12. The lip has a few small scratches but Ill leave it till I learn how low and where it is in relation to parking. First relatively major job next week is cab top cams they sqeak, slight leak and air..... So I wont drop rhe top till after I cha ge out bit its too hot in Miami to do rhst till October.
  13. Id recommend a PST2 or PIWIS 1 PIWIS 2 is overkill and there are a few issues connecting models prior to 2010 to the new PIWiS 3. However the components to make a PST2 are getting scarce do to age and Bosch stopped supporting or making spare parts for the KTS 520.

I think I will keep it stock ecxept to uograde radio from PCM bose with nav to new with nav, sat, backup camera and bluetooth and out originan radio aside til I decide to sell it a long way off In sure. Meanwhile Im looking forward to next PCA DE at Moroso ( now PBIR ) to see how I do in this compard to my prior 3.4l 996.
  15. Its on its way... Should have it Monday as my new daily driver..
