  1. in my 2003 c4 i am having an issue with the oil pressure gauge working right. when i first start the engine and maybe up to fifteen minutes later the gauge will drop to zero for a few seconds then pop back to normal. it only happens between 1st and 2nd gear. once it is driven a few minutes. any know where the oil pressure sending unit is located or the cable that connects to it?
  2. I HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE WHERE IS THE SENSOR AND CABLE LOCATED?
  3. I bought this car back in 2007 and the Oil failure indicator has come on numerous times. Its a 2003 Carrera 4. Usually happens when the car is first started in the morning or after it has been setting for a while and when i am shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear. Pops into failure indicator mode and then goes back to normal. Some times this happens a couple of times. fault indicator always goes back to normal. Has anyone had this problem and if you did what could the issue be? i had it checked at the shop and they could not find anything since the failure indicator goes away and was not present at the shop.
  4. Since I am a novice at changing the brake pads I found out a couple things on the way that helped me. One using the pliers to remove the brake pads really did not work very well. I instead used a large screwdriver. I inserted it between the top of the pad and the caliper and they just pop right out. Two removing the sensor from the pad did not work either. I actually tried it on both sides and came to the conclusion it was easier to remove the cable with the pad and just throw it away. installing the pad was a little more tricky for me as I tried it several ways and finally figured it out that it was easier if I installed the other pad from the top in and use a rubber mallet to hammer it in. On the inner pad I put the pad in from the bottom and used the rubber mallet. The vibration dampers did cause me some issues and trying to put them in together with the pad just did not work for me. The first one took me about 45 minutes until I got it done and the second one about 15. I cleaned and touched up the paint my calipers. Thanks for the help really did appreciate it.
  5. When you first start the vehicle in the morning the oil pressure fault light comes on and the engine oil pressure guage goes to zero for a about 2 or three seconds and then the fault goes away and the oil pressure guage works normal. any ideas what this is?
