  1. Hi - Can any UK members recommend an OBDII Scanner that is known to work on a 1999 996 please. According to various websites (www.gendan.co.uk for example) they advise that only US cars are guaranteed to work from 1996, with European cars falling into line after 2001. I obviously don't want to buy a scanner to find it doesn't work with my year of car ... Many Thanks in advance.
  2. Thanks Loren - I'll look under the hood tonight as it's not in the service books - failing that I'll take it to the dealer as suggested. Tks again ... :)
  3. Hi - The locking wheel bolt 'key' on my 99 996 has been split by a previous owner -(went to use it for the first time yesterday  - it unlocked the bolt but I put a normal bolt back because it looks like it may snap at any time) . Does it state anywhere in the service books or codes anywhere which key number it is (appreciate they may have been changed) or should you get any documentation to say which 'set' you have ? The only reason I'm asking vs buysing a new set, is there are various 'keys' available on ebay but they are only 'numbered' so I have no idea which one to get ... :( Many Thanks, Richard.
  4. D_Man provided a very good link into what's in the M030 package and should answer your question. Link below ... M030 (PS - From the looks of it, yes they should have replaced the rear bump stop but not the front, and yes the rear has changed colour...)
