  1. Just got off the phone with Jim from and indy shop in Denver called Eisenbuds. He was full of information He told me that the P022 code could mean that the cam tensioner has gone bad and needs to be replaced. And he told me that the misfires and the cam sensor error could be 2 different issues, but didnt know yet. Since I am in Germany its hard to work with, since everything here is so darn expensive. Its driveable, from what I have been hearing and it will not destroy the engine, so that sort of soothes me at the moment. I went ahead and priced a cam position tensioner. Is this obviously not a DIY, but I will try to look for some manuals on timing, cams, accessibility and other things. Wish me luck. Oh and the part cost 900 dollars already. This is definitely not what I wanted to hear, but oh well, you have to pay to play :D
  2. Looks good! I just went ahead and had them rewrap my old one into alcantara
  3. I have pretty much narrowed down the problem. I have seen and heard that if you like to wash your engine bay a lot the coils get wet and crack, etc I do wash my engine quite a bit, which I will stop now. So I went a head and bought new beru coilpacks as soon as I get here I will post more. Anyone have any advice?
  4. So I was able to get the codes. P0300 P0306 P0304 P0305 P0022 So misfires in bank2, and the cam position sensor is over retarded...Im guessing of course. Should I start my car again? or flat bed it now? smoke comes out of bank 2 tailpipes. The indy said it was probably coil packs or plugs. I just changed the plugs, and the packs look alright. But would that cause the cam position to throw a CEL?
  5. I went to turn the car on, and its cold enough to notice that no fumes come out of the driver side exhaust pipe..only the passenger side, and its very rich. The shop opens up in a few..so I cant wait
  6. True. Im going down tomorrow morning to get them read
  7. I have a 2003 996 c2 All day yesterday she was fine, driving up and down hills here in Germany. Then last night on my way back, a CEL was on The idle then dropped down to low 300's and then would come back up The battery power dropped, oil pressure and idle dropped at the same time I am leaving her parked today, I have to work all day and tomorrow I will take her down to the shop Anyone have any ideas, I turned her on today, and its cold. The idle was fine, but she immediately threw the CEL at start up, and its constant. I have a Fabspeed Intake, and I did have muffler deletes, but I put the OEMs back on. Thanks for reading!
