  1. I wouldn't mess with them unless you have a magnetic level and the proper plates to also adjust toe. Changing the camber on the 986 rear will also effect you toe. I would try to find a shop in town or push the dealer to get you on the rack before you abuse the new tires at an autocross.
  2. Yes, you should care and you should get the rears swapped out with the Sport Ribs. The main reason is to maintain a consistant compound/construction between the front and rear. That's why Porsche says specifically to not mix N types front to rear. i.e. N1's on the front and N0's on the rear are a big no no and that's within the same tire model. When you cross model types it's even more of an issue as N0 in one type and N0 in another are still not compatible. Get them all the same, especially for the money you probably spent doing tires at the dealer.

Here's a chart showing the Back Spacing (BS) vs. Front Spacing (FS) for various widths and offset (ET) W ET BS FS 9 60 6.86 2.14 <<--- = Stock 20x9 9 43 6.19 2.81 <<--- = Stock 20x9 w/17mm spacer 10 50 6.97 3.03 <<--- = TSW 20x10 9.5 52 6.80 2.70 <<--- = OZ 20x9.5 As you can see the TSW's actually stick out farther than the stock wheels with the 17mm spacer (3.03 vs. 2.81)

  6. I know there are templates in the 911 and Boxster sections for the installation position of the rear logos but I can't find one for the Cayenne. My dealer says they eyeball it, I find it hard to believe that Porsche hasn't documented the logo placement in detail. Does anyone have that information? Thanks.
