  1. I have the same fault code P0430 on bank 2, something about efficiency. Car is an 01 with 70k miles. My mechanic replaced the pre cat oxygen sensors 8 months ago when this fault code came up first. Now they are saying to replace the post cat O2 sensor at a cost of about $200 ($120 for the part + half and hour labor). Should I do that or just replace the pre cats with used ones? Do you know if the engine runs differently when the CE light is on? Does the computer change anything about the fuel mixture, or anything else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Anyone know for sure if an '04 Boxster S exhaust would fit a '00 non-S? Did you ever replace the cat? I've got the same problem on my 01, and I'm looking for a cheaper way to get this done than spending $1700+. Thx!
  3. My mechanic tells me that the driver's side catalytic converter on my 01 Boxster is toast. They did a smoke test on it and diagnosed cracks in the cat housing. This causes the check engine light to come on all the time. I don't want to spend $1750+ on a new CC. There's got to be a better way, and I'm hoping that somebody here can help me with some advice. Are there good aftermarket CCs? How about a used one? I hear a lot of people take the CCs out of cars that they race. Does anybody know of a way I could buy one off of somebody who doesn't need theirs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Lost my code and only noticed after I disconnected the battery. :) Please help! Becker 1 Serial Y5043515 24/99 4462 Cd cdp2081
