  1. I just put in an EVO V-Flow cold air intake (v1) in my 1999 c2 (tiptronic) last night and then took it for a long ride. Install was a snap and I had never done something like it before. The only difficult part was that i did not have the special torx wrench that has the hole punched in the center of it but I used pliers and worked it out. Impressions: 1. Easy install 2. Engine is not noticeably louder at idle 3. I think that the car feels "quicker" - (it could all be in my head-i dont think so)4. More of the metallic "whine" of the engine comes through while driving 5. at RPM > 3500 just a marvelous new aggressiv sound to the engine "pulling" 6. the idle seems a little rougher to me now. Overall, I am a big fan and would recommend this to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive and easy upgrade to a c2. after i purchased it, i had second thoughts about installing it after reading many of the threads about different peoples impressions and experiences. In the end, I am glad i put it in.... I am just trying to figure out if there is any huge advantage to getting the version 2 (besides the fact that it looks a lot cooler)? I will try and post pics soon. Thanks all.
  2. well, i applied the rejex yesterday WOW! my c2 is a 99 and the arctic silver looks amazing the car looks brand new i am doing my motorcycle tomorrow thanks for all the input and help! i will try and post pics!
  3. thanks for the idea the signal still cancels correctly actually to explain it a little better (or make it more confusing) when i put on the right turn signal the racheting sound starts whether i turn the wheel left or right. interestingly, if i am set to take a right turn and the ratcheting starts and i turn the wheel to the left past the first "lock" position, the ratcheting stops alltogether. weird....no?
  4. i assume one would suspect an rms problem by looking for oil leaks under th car?
  5. My 1999 c2 has developed this problem. when I turn my turn signal on for a right turn, the steering wheel makes a really loud ratcheting sound (not the normal mild sound as you turn the wheel)if turned either to the left or right until the signal turns off. Any thoughts what this might be and the fix for it? Thanks In Advance.

I can get it to "sit" on the hinge but the minute i depress the button to shift the button pops off of the hinge. 15. It is very easy to do takes 10 minutes i just did it last week i ordered the part from luxewheels on ebay factory oem pulled the old dropped in the new cake.
  16. I had a similar problem with my 1997 boxster, bmw 740, and lexus lx 470 (seriously) windex=bad for guages plastics (imo) i wont touch the stuff anymore I used the plastic polish that the local dealership recommended i think it was macguires. i placed a small amount on a clean dry soft towel (like an old t-shirt) and just went to town changed the place on the cloth, little more compound, repeat i would clean residue between buff cycles with a wet cloth. it takes some time and effort, especially if the cluster is kept in place but it got most of the imperfections out for me....... i then used a trick that a detailer suggested and after i was done buffing as much as i could stand, i sprayed pledge (furniture wax-based polish) and buffed a couple of applications with another t-shirt- it replace a little fo the normal plex "sheen" that one takes off with the polish. you could barely see anything had been there when i was done. hope this helps. let us know how it works out.
