  1. Thats what i thought...I do hope Sunset gives me a "credit" on shipping charges on an obvious part shipping mistake, who would ever order a Front ROW spec springs with Rear Standard springs.
  2. Thanks Loren, I guess i have to return the rear springs back to Sunset. I ordered ROW spec 986 springs for my 01 manual 2.7 Box. They sent me 986 343 531 11 504 Fronts and 986 333 531 04 504 Rears. I think the fronts are OK(ROW spec). What is the right matching ROW rear spring part number?
  3. 986 333 531 04 504 (Blue/Yellow)--Is this a ROW Rear spring for a 01 manual Boxster??? **Sorry, I meant to post this under the 986 section***
  4. Thanks for the responses guys I know that the ROW 030(Red/Yellow; Red/Red) springs would lower the car about 20mm. Is there a difference between a Standard (Non-ROW/Sport) US and Standard Canadian springs???
  5. I have a 2001 2.7. Im wondering if there will be a difference in ride height if i upgrade to the 2004 anniversary edition US M030 setup.
  6. Im looking for a shop or an individual/forum member who would be interested in lowering my box. Any recommendations in So Cal who wouldn't charge an Arm & Leg??? THNX
  7. Piece of advice to save you $$$ with your Alternator issue...ALMOST ALL Alternators that are sold by a part shop or your local Porsche dealer are Rebuilt. Rebuilt Alternators also carry some warranty(approx. 6mo-1yr) depending on the dealer. The quality of Rebuilt Alternators are as good as your Brand New Alternator....I once purchased a Rebuilt Alternator from VERTEXAUTO.COM(Miami,Florida) for my 86 944 which i completely rebuilt about 4yrs ago(4yrs/85k miles since) and still performes like Brand New...Another alternative would be to find a local Starter/Alternator repair shop(Auto Electric Shop) in your area and have it rebuilt.--will probably cost you below $150 to rebuild(same quality with warranty as well). Rebuilding/Reconditioning an Alternator is not Rocket Science and is extremely cheap/and easy to repair ...Im sure your local Porsche Dealer would take your core to be rebuilt by a local shop and resold for 10x the orig. repair cost....Having owned 3 previous Porsches before my Box, ived saved tons of $$$ just ordering quality Porsche parts from VERTEXAUTO. They are very knowledgeable with Porsches and has competitively priced high quality parts....BTW, any reputable independent Porsche repair shop can install a 986 Alternator besides the overpriced $tealer.
  8. Is there a specific procedure, requirement to avail the $5500 engine? Is this the current dealership price of a 986 engine or is this a "special" price for "qualified" people who unfortunately had engine failures and Porsche NA has to pre-approve the $5500 engine price....Also, ive heard that some people were able to get Porsche to "goodwill" replacement engine for free eventhough their cars were out of warranty coverage.
  9. Its either a bad Alternator or Battery. Id first bring it to your local Auto Zone and have them check your Battery and Alternator(Charging) for free. They can tell you whether either of them is failing.
  10. I really like the dual exhaust tip look and i am looking to modify my stock 01 2.7 muffler. I know i can replace my stock 2.7 muffler with the 3.2 S muffler or, Is it possible if i can just have a good muffler shop cut and weld new dual tips on my stock muffler? I know the stock muffler has the same internals vs. the S muffler....BTW, im new to the site and i find a lot of interesting, helpful ideas here....Thanks!
