  1. I'm lost, I have try all I know to make it work. I have a 2000 S with m490 audio option and I have had rear shelf speaker last summer. So I wired from socket A, the 12V, the switch, and the ground. I have wired the front speaker and rear speaker directly to the speaker out of the kenwood radio. When I switch on, everything work well (rear, front, left, right). The door subwoofer are still goin tru the m490 amp and are then connected to the RCA subwoofer line out of the Kenwood radio. As soon as I connect the sub and turn the switch on, I hear a small pop from speaker and radio goes to protect mod.I have also try opening the radio, go to initial setting, then switch-pre to subwoofer, then close radio, connect sub, open radio. same thing happen. Radio spec: Maximum Output Power 50 W × 4 Full Bandwidth Power 22 W × 4 (at less than 1 % THD) Speaker Impedance 4 Ω to 8 Ω Tone Action Bass 100 Hz ・}8 dB Middle 1 kHz ・}8 dB Treble 12.5 kHz ・}8 dB Preout Level 2 500 mV/10 kΩ Preout Impedance ≤ 600 Ω Sub are working (1.5v battery make noise), wiring seams ok, fuses are good (D8 radio and D9 amp). Feels like the amp is not powering the sub, so Kenwood radio goes to protect mode. I guest I need to connect the blue/white wire (power control) of the radio, but where. I have tried with socket A pin5 (control output for automatic aerial/amplifier), not working. Also socket C pin6 (control output for automatic aerial/amplifier), not working either. How can I power the amp, so the subwoofer work? Please help! Thanks wawa
  2. Humm fuel filter and fuel pump have been change lately. I just read that a blown AOS that leave a lots of oïl in the intake could damage the oxygen sensor. When My AOS broke about 2 mouths ago, there was a huge smoke screen and lots of oïl in the intake. Its been clean as good as possible. Could it be? To see O2 sensor graph, I guest I would need something like a durametric cable or a PIWIS?
  3. Idle is fine Accelaration is sluggish, feel a little anemic But other than that, its all good. Chris Forgot to say, Indy says its probably an oxygen sensor that is getting tired or the heating of the oxygen sensor getting week.
  4. Hello While repairing some parts to repair the boxster, its feels like we are finding more problems! Now the new CEL I have are P1126 and P1133. Car is a Boxster S 2000 with 154 000km. MAF is new and tested by mechanic. No intake vacuum (its been repair and smoke test) No more exhaust leek, its been repair. AOS is about 2 mouths old. So Indy says its probably an oxygen sensor, wirring or DME. I'm 300km from him, can I do some test before going back to see him? With these code, which oxygen sensor might be faulty. What do these codes tell you? Thanks Chris
  5. Oil change was done by a Porsche specialist and the dash reading always say it was ok. The dip stick is just under full mark. No oil change since I change the AOS. So I dont think it was overfill with oïl. Chris
  6. Hello All2000 Boxster S. In november I had problem with smoke on startup and sometime on had acceleration with rpm over 5000. I change the AOS and the MAF from Pelican parts. All was working good. Now wednesday night, lots of smoke while coming home. Now lots of smoke on start up, and very hard to hold idle. code P0102 related to MAF, but with all the smoke I think its the AOS again causing the code. So I just open the intake and its full of oïl as expected. So I guest the AOS is blown again. What could cause the AOS to broke in less then 2500miles?Later allChris
  7. The DIY pdf is really good. That about waht we did. Like I said, the hard part is broking the old parts in small pieces and taking them out. I used screw driver and long nose plier. Then installing the insert is really easy. good luck Chris
  8. Insert look a lots like these http://www.directindustry.com/prod/stanley-assembly-technologies/expansion-threaded-inserts-22234-840177.html Chris
  9. I had the same problem. The hard part was wresling the small 3 pieces out of the hole with long nose plier and flat head screw driver. Once I fight for about 30 minutes and all pieces were out, my brother put some nice insert for new bolt. He use insert often at is job where they fabricate cabinet for truck and minivan. If you can have acces to those inserte its really easy to repair and very solid. Chris
