  1. Loren, thanks for the diagram. I don't have access to the top of the support bracket which is in the engine compartment. Do I need to remove the heat shield or lower the engine mount?
  2. I meant "sorry for the confusion" it's been one of those days ..
  3. Loren, thanks for the confusion. The part name is the exhaust mounting bracket or support. I had trouble posting a photo of it but the link on ebay should give a clear picture of the part. Thanks http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/ObQAAOSwEK9T4Ep-/$_12.JPG
  4. Loren, I believe you are correct. I meant the Muffler bracket. Thanks
  5. Does anyone have any experience replacing the exhaust bracket that is mounted to the engine block? Any help would be appreciated. See attached photo.
  6. Why would you want 3rd party abbreviated stuff when you can get the actual Porsche factory workshop manuals, or OBDII manuals plus Technical Service Bulletins and more. The Porsche factory workshop manuals are usually 10 to 15 times larger and extremely more comprehensive. If you want the most complete service information on the 996 PM or email me. I have attached a few pages. The workshop manual alone has about 4,000 more pages plus the wiring diagrams plus the .. well I am sure you get the idea. Do you have info on replacing front control arm and wishbone?
  7. I'm new to this forum and own a 01 996 c4 cabrio triptronic and was looking for a dyi guide on the engine mount replacement. do you know where I can look? Thanks

  8. As to the pcm code issue, My mechanic suggested that I leave the radio on for an hour by turning the key to 1. wait for the screen to show the pcm input code and try again. Will update if this works. if not, will check fuse box to see if the fuse is bad.
  9. Hi, I have the same problem after replacing the battery. any luck in resolving your problem?
