  1. Pls now count me out this thread is endless promises & no action b.sh*t
  2. In my 2001 996TT the Electric Seats is only working intermittently, which is a bit of a worry if my wife has to drive the car as she can't reach the pedals !Sounds like a lose connection somewhere I guess but it even when the seat adjustment works the seat memory function is permanently disabled ??
  3. Tvm I have the TT Manual I will mention that to them
  4. tvm Loren, does anybody have any suggestions for additional engine mods that can be done if the engine is coming out, new plenium intake / New boost hose kit etc ?
  5. They mentioned that the intake pipe was in the way and you can't even just drop the engine, you have to remove !!
  6. Hello Loren, On my 2001 996TT, I have a slow coolant leak. I took it to my official Porsche dealer and he notes that it is coming from the Electrical Water Pump, which needs to be replaced. I'm informed this is a full engine out job which takes at least 2 days. Any other thoughts or potential solutions ??? :o
  7. Loren, May /01 is just before the Bose system was introduced, I have a CD changer but no  amplifier that I can find correct ? or is it under the passenger seat etc
  8. I am told there is a brilliant thread on this somewhere here; I am 90% with it, my question is do I have to remove the rear wheels to take off the bumper as I need access the torx screws in the upper wheel arch lining (which is above the height of the bumper) or do I just need to undo the Hex nut half way up the wheel arch and the Torx screw at the base ???
  9. so in fact if you pull off the side covers of the lower central unit and the carpet, it is much easier if you just take the whole unit out and work on it by unscrewing the 2X Torx screws on either side holding it in the frame
  10. tvm Je texas, last thread particularly helpful
  11. I plan to remove my OEM Sat Navigation which is overheating and giving a disc reading error from my 2001 Turbo and replace it with a Garmin on the windscreen Is taking it out and easy job ? unclip and unplug and I guess I can order a OEM Porsche part to go in its place as a holder for sunglasses etc ??
  12. tx Loren this is all so depressing, effectively a no go, but all that kit weighs at least 25lbs and I want it out :P
  13. I know I will need a GT2 wiring harness but how do I physically disconnect and remove the hydaulic wing motor from the 2 hydraulic struts please Loren or others ?? I am doing this exclusively from a weight removal standpoint and want to keep my wing permanently in the down position. I would eventually wish to reinstall if I ever sell the car
  14. All is going well here but I took out my transmission tunnel cover and now need to reassemble the Tiptronic shifter gate cover, there is a triangle piece of plastic on top of the spring which sits under the shiftergate cover, does anybody have a diagram of how this should be positioned please ?
  15. Some Diverter Valves would help hold the higher boost
  16. tx. vm Loren that worked just fine now as I had to take my transamission tunnel out as well how do I reassemble the Tiptronic spring under the shifter gate cover which is has a plastic triangle piece ? i.e when I put the centre tunnel cover back on ??
  17. It looks like their is a spring clip under the silver push down knob which clips off but is that it as it still doesn't come off easily ??
  18. Now been to the car wash Loren and still no joy, anything else I can test ?
  19. Hello Loren, One small question before my wife takes out the rear of the garage on the basis of the parking sensors are not working, They started going intermittent, working some days others not for about 2 months and now don't work at all, any ideas ?
  20. Is this a good idea with Pss9 to make the car more alive ? Second question to Loren and others does the GT2 subframe physically lower the car vs the 996 TT please ?
  21. Does this work well, somebody MUST have tried it ?
