  1. I was able to keep the wheel on, remove a couple fasteners and pull back the liner enough to get my hand in. All it was is the hose slipped off the nipple. Easy fix!!!
  2. How hard was getting the transaxle unbolted? May I ask what tools, sockets, extensions etc you used for all of the bolts? Ty
  3. My 99 doesnt have any J's. There are two versions of the recepticle. I have the older twist lock style. Maybe the new screw style has J's. All mine has are the C's.
  4. Thx for the part numbers! Where in the car is #16 and #3 servos? Thx!
  5. I just spent 36 minutes attempting to get an answer at the Renton, WA Walmart. I even got to talk to the manager once. I had to switch phones a couple times because they stopped answering my number. They were quite shocked when I called from a different number. To sum it up, of the people who spoke english, non would go to the aisle and check. It was the worst experience Ive ever had with any retailer. I dont remember getting that angry in a long long time. I will give my money away for free before they get any.
  6. I found this website for what seems to be a great deal on Porsche approved oil. Dont mind the name on the link, its not the product. http://store.avlube.com/mobil15w50.html You guys buy more oil than me. Isnt that a great deal?
  7. No I had not seen those... If I dont like the red ones, Ill try those. C4 narrow body.
  8. I am going to exchange the clear ones I bought for these : http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-00-01-02-03-04-PORSCHE-911-CARRERA-4-RED-SMOKE-LED-TAIL-LIGHT-LAMP-LIGHTS-SET-/251091653149?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3APorsche&vxp=mtr&hash=item3a763a921d I hope I like them better. I will post new pics...
  9. Hahahaha yeah John V. Good one. I forgot about that episode. I dont know what to about the lights. I would like to try the red ones I think. I want LED but dont want to sacrifice oem quality and looks. The company I got them from wants to charge me a restocking fee. I have to go read the fine print now. Fjahmgav$:@"!!!!
  10. Ive decided to return these. They look too much like I'm a honda tuner now.
  11. He is claiming, the key and the programming and the cut was 177. Yes I can find keys all over for 200.
  12. Ive never ever heard of a key with programming and cut that cheap, 175? Can we have the name of the dealership?
  13. Installed the smoked version. Not sure if I am happy with them or not... Heres the link to my install.
  14. 996 C2 Tail light swap over to LED Tail light Tutorial A few simple steps to breeze through your tail light swap. I bought the smoked Taiwanese version. I hear there is a Chinese and a German version. I got my set from a seller on fleabay (ebay). I paid 375 with shipping. They were packaged very well, and undamaged upon opening. As described - no instructions. Some people will unplug their battery for any electrical work. I did not. A: Open Engine Hood You should see the one and only 10mm Bolt holding each tail light housing in place. R Author doublesnaggle Category Carrera (996) - Mods Submitted 07/15/2012 10:35 PM
  15. A few simple steps to breeze through your tail light swap. Remove them. B: The light housing will pull towards you and slide off the front interior hook. C: Turn it over in your hand. You may unplug all of the light sockets by turning the socket counter-clockwise until it stops. D: Its as simple as pulling the old lights bulbs from the plugs with with a push and twist. E: Then plugging in the plugs from the new housing. You can use my pictures here to see where each plug goes. They go in different sockets when you use these LED tail lights. Note: The small parking bulb does not go back into its socket, you can see how it is stretched across for the other plugs to reach. Also, you must leave one clear bulb in for your backup light. And if you use your European rear fog light, you will need to leave a clear bulb plugged in to that socket. You can use the bulbs that were already there. No need to buy new ones or special ones. F: Fit the housing back on the front hook inside the well. Finish by sliding the housing in and replacing the 10mm bolts. One bolt for each side. They appear nice and bright. Fitment looks almost stock. I wish I had the german ones to compare.
  16. I pulled the trigger and bought the taiwan smoked set. Easy install. Will post an unboxing and write up. And after install pics.
  17. Hello Everyone, Im trying to get a sense of peoples overall opinion of aftermarket headlights and taillights. Thank you!
  18. These look kinda cool, but I prefer reliability over looks. I do not ever want a code. Anyone tried these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/911-996-986-Carrera-Projector-LED-Arrow-R8-Headlight-Headlamp-w-o-Factory-HID-/110828530880?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3APorsche&hash=item19cde52cc0&vxp=mtr Loren do you think it will ever give a code?
