  1. Thanks! I lifted her to see and all looks fine with the exhaust and heat shielding. Any other thoughts? Pinion bearing, worn transmission mount?
  2. Hi all, I hope you can help me. My transmission is making a weird noise. My IMS/RMS was replaced at 96K miles and I'm now at 106K. Here's a video of the problem: Thank you.
  3. 97K here too. 2000 996. Just need to replace spark plug tubes as they are slightly leaking. Not sure if the IMS was ever installed so I will have to get that done with a new clutch in Spring. Nothing major to note but the recirculation motor has gone bad. I do not feel like spending $400+ just for the part so I have some digging to do and I hear it's a PITA to replace.
  4. Bump. Took my car in to the shop and was told that my recirculation motor is bad. I was also told that if I did it myself, it would not work because they would have to tell the computer to make it work and that it is not just a plug and play type of thing... Anyone have any experience in doing this successfully?
