  1. With existing CD changer, basic installation is very simple, just change plugs and add electric. Only difficulty is running the controller, USB and ipod , if you want to, inside the car, because closest grommet is behind battery and you will need extensions for these cords. believe me very simple to do...you even retain CD changer use.
  2. Squire a really young, gorgeous honey, and let her get out first, very... slowly :>)
  3. I have the latest version, entire package. $300, with the little faux leather CD case....... If you need the upgrade I can lend you those discs..If you can't find someone local to borrow from. The latest Nav DVD disc I believe is 08.2007. or something like that, anything other than that is NOT the latest. Is he charging you for the disc?
  4. At 3.3 you should be able to just put in 08.2007 map DVD no problem! It will ask to update, you choose yes!! thanks larrytrk I just checked today as i said ealier the software version shows 3.3 so what does 3.3 signify? also when I checked my pcm version it showd 0504 which is level B. I tried to read through the tsb also. so you think all i have to do is just try and put int he dvd navigation disc and that should do the trick? or some update needs to take place from level B to C first? trying to understand this better. 06 can only get to 3.3 firmware , level B. 07 on get C. I think. New Nav Dvd should work! Insert in Nav. DVD drive and wait and see if it wants to upgrade or just works. Should be no problem. My 06 is 3.3 level B Larry T

  6. Shut the car off. Lock it and unlock after 5 minutes. Turn on PCM and see if it automatically ejects the CD.
  7. My battery died and after I recharged it I lost heated seat function and Homelink. Any way to reset or is this a dealer only deal?
  8. For your 06 no new functions, just new map. RTFM!!
  9. Make sure there is no CD in the slot. Flipping the on/off Dension switch 3 times should give the Config screen. May have to be repeated many times. Are you sure the i-pod is playing when you get the track numbers? This should have nothing to do with the dealer programming the cd player if the i-pod is playing. What software version do you have in the Dension? To many things to check. Remove and reconnect i-pod!
  10. It's an FM modulator for the add on in a 997-1. Only controls volume. Waste of money, get a Dension!
  11. 997C4 and apparently your GT3 use a vertical mount in front of the bulkhead. The 997C2 & S use horizontal mount where you have the black hump.
  12. Yes you need the vacuum lines and t's, you tap into the brake booster I believe, no additional reservoir, and all accessory vacuum piping to the solenoid. instead of the large included electrical harness you only need several wires to fuse box-switch-solenoid and a ground. We used a few wires of the original harness and capped the rest.
  13. I suggest you wire a switch from the fuse box, to a switch, directly to the solenoid, bypassing the DME for full control. On/off at will. My switch is in ashtray.
  14. pop out the chrono clock and check, directions have been posted here or rennlist or 6 speed.
  15. it doesn't look half that bad! Thanks! Watch it when you remove the panel with the 12 volt outlet, it's easy to short it out and blow the fuse if you are not careful!! No biggie if you do!
  16. Easy as pie!!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/33889996@N00/...57600783213574/ This thread also shows Dension bluetooth install. PM me with questions.
  17. The Nav update kit is about $299 (minus your PCA %10) has about 4 DVD's 3 for various Cars and various PCM levels from base to C. and 1 08 Map DVD. Sunset or your dealer can sell it to you. You can install yourself. The TSB tells you which disc's to use to get to level C. After you install you are left with 3 useless Discs, 1 old Nav disc and a faux leather CD case. If you have nav your old disc may still work, mine did when we accidentally put in in instead of the 08 map disc. We then installed the updated 08 Nav DVD. If all you want to do is get to level C on your PCM, you can use anyones used Discs, with or without Nav I suspect. PM me for additional info.
  18. This is an easy do it yourself project. There is a tech bulletin here in DIY Section: part 32/07 9110 navigation update to walk you through. You need one of the extra CD's to upgrade PCM to Level C if you are not there already and you just pop in new Map DVD. PM me with questions.
  19. After using the Aux GW MODE, hold FF you may still need to scroll through the individual settings and select them with the FF button, one at a time. Sorry it's been a while since I had to do this. That may be your problem, paging may not be turned on!
