  1. Could be the Oil Level Sensor. Warning light came during driving ?
  2. hi again, for now i believe the main reason for the high temp was a air bubble in the cooling system. i had to refill arround 0,60 liter of coolant. since that time the temp stay arround 80 degree celsius in the middle of the gauge. if its going a bit further, fan is kicking in with high speed.
  3. Just want to say: i did it today. If i can do it, everyone with a little bit of talent can do this job. Changed the rear differential Fluid and transfer case Fluid . Both black and strange smell. Doesnt look good. After a first test drive i would say: everything feels more smooth and less noises from drive Train.
  4. Not yet. Before i go back to my Local Porsche Service i wanted to see if i could find out something by myself. I phoned the mechanic and asked if they made a Test when they replaced the new fan. He told me they did. Saturday water temp was really high and SURPRISE, fan running on Stage 2. but i was expecting that fan will continue to run fast even when i park the car. They didnt. I never had a loss of coolant when i checkend the CET in the past. This saturday the cooling Level Warning light came up. Dont know what to think about this story again. Air in the System - maybe Warterpump- cant see any coolant there Thermostat- possible to check? How? Coolant Tubes- are already changed for alu. I keep you Updated whats going on
  5. Some time ago i had to replace the oil level sensor. Porsche changed for a new one but after i still had the oil level WARNING coming up every day even when oil was enough. The shop couldnt find the fault and told me must be a wiring problem in the display consol. These days i found a old Statement from Loren where he is writing about CAN Network problems which could cause strange display messages. He noted to take out fuse # 40 for a moment . I try this today and..... My display is clear now. No strange oil level WARNING anymore. Thanks again to this great Forum .
  6. Sorry send you the wrong link. Here is the right one http://bd8ba3c866c8cbc330ab-7b26c6f3e01bf511d4da3315c66902d6.r6.cf1.rackcdn.com/Porsche_Cayenne_955_European_Side_Markers.pdf
  7. You need to take away the wheel fender to get Access to the Bulb housing. This may help you: http://www.rennteam.com/forum/page1.html?vs=0
  8. Would like to place one additional question. I just replaced the big cooling fan some weeks before. Now in city Traffic the Temp is going beyond 220F without putting the fan in Stage 2 running. What could be wrong? How to find out if my Thermostat is gone? Thank you for any input
  9. I had the same problems. All what i can tell you: my porsche shop changed a lot of parts. All where shown as faulty by the porsche diagnostic system. Nothing changed. The PSM light came randomly back. For my experience it has more to do with a weak battery or some other electric cremlins. Did you install any aftermarket parts connected to the system? Did you check if you have maybe water on the passenger side footwell which is effecting the Cables there?
  10. hahnmgh63..... Very good explanation. Is the drain of those intercoolers a job for the porsche service or possible to do by myself? Thank you
  11. Hi. I am driving my turbo almost 6 month now. Never had any concerning oil consumption. But during the last 1500 km . A lot to much. I guess almost 2 liter. I cant see any leak. Nothing on the ground where the car is parking. During starting or driving i also cant see any smoke clouds coming from the pipes. Turbo chargers maybe? One additional problem: I had the Check oil level WARNING light coming on. Checked level but i was enough on the dip stick. Porsche changed the oil level sensor. But still the same problem. Oil level ok but WARNING sign still coming up on the display. Thank you for your ideas.
  12. Hi to Belgien . My concern is going to the same Point. If it is the alternator again, i will bite my ***.
  13. Thank you. I will pull the belt. This should be pointing to the problem.
  14. Hello again! Maybe some of you remember, i had the alternator replaced some time ago. This job is ok until now but... From the day i take the car from the shop i had a kind of wobbling noise coming from the engine. I though it could be the water pump. I ask the mechanik and he told me the pump was ok. What else it could be. I believe it must be related to the alternator job. Before i didnt have the noise. Any advice is welcome. Thank you
  15. I would say this is 99% your starter. This kind of noise is very specific. I guess you know where the starter is located. Under the intake manifold. If you are there already to check the starter i would replace it anyway. Check your cooling tubes in the same time
  16. Rien . Nada. Nothing. Complete silence. According to my porsche shop only the big one Is bad
  17. I read the booklet. Thank you again for pointing me to This . Very interesting and helpful to understand these cars. I read the section about the radiator fans. As i understand, they are always running TOGETHER. Difference is just the speed. So regarding my fans. There is more than one problem.
  18. Wow thats cool. I will check. Thankx
  19. Dear Members I would like to ask some details about the cooling system, in detail the radiator fans. I was checking the Search but couldnt find what i was looking for. I will replace the fans, minimum the big one which is on passenger side. Car was checked with tester at Porsche. Guy told me the big one is not working. My impression is, no one is working. Please can somebody tell me at what levels the fans are going to start. When the small one, when the big one. When both? Thank you bery much
  20. Unfortunately next 4 weeks not. I lost my driver licence for 4 weeks:-( To fast
  21. This is how she looks in summer dress with 23 wheels
  22. Please can somebody give me a hint what is the correcr part number for the big radiator fan. I understand there are 3 numbers. The full assembly with 2 fans and housing The small fan The big fan Thank you
