  1. That this parts can fail already after one year? I change both last year. Both new. I have random PSM problems and car goes to limp mod. Sometimes. I take it to porsche. Today i got a call. We changed the MAF sensors. That was the reason for your problems. Is this really possible? I cant believe
  2. Great Great. Happy that the problem is solved. In your case it wasnt that expensive. Lucky you. All this tubes are a major problem too. What i found out now after 3 years of cayenne driving.... The most important is to have a real specialist who understand this car. Otherwise you get mad .
  3. I read it on display and i feel it in my wallet . And the guy on fuel station was very friendly because i came twice per week:-)
  4. With not proper working fuel pumps i had 20 / 22 Liter per 100 km. Now much better. I need to check exactly
  5. Reading your postings reminds me my situation in the past month. "driving issue at 3000 rpm" i tried to explain my problems. In the end the fuels pumps got changed and everything is fine. The car was running on bad pumps but you could feel it in performane and gas consumption that something was wrong. I take back the car from the shop last friday and since than i drove a lot. Highway and city driving. Performance great, consumption much better.
  6. You see it depends with whom you are talking. My mechanic didnt give me this advice. Even they couldnt believe that my problems coming from fuel pump. I needed to push them to change the second pump. Anyway. I payed 1280 euro for 2 pumps, filter and labour. At least i am very happy now about the cars performance.
  7. The car runs WOW now, what a difference. It feels like s different car. After all this trouble i can recommend to everybody who has similar problems. ..CHECK THE FUEL PRESSURE OR THE PUMPS
  8. Sorry if i made a mistake. The car got ONE new pump some time ago because porsche told me the left one is working fine. So they told me not neccessary to change. After some time the problems started. From the the very beginning i asked thrm to check the work they did in the tank. After monthes driving arround now with the problem, i asked them to change the other pump too. Thats what they did yesterday.
  9. Just wanted to inform you about how this problem get solved. As i was writing before the car had a strange behaviour at arround 3000 rpm and again at 5000 or more. No codes. Take the car to the shop. They opend the tank. Replaced the left fuel pump. (The other one was done few month ago). Make a long test drive today. Everything fine. Car runs great
  10. Maybe someone could help me with this: Car came from service. I asked to change the drive belt. They did but i feel they maybe did something wrong. First of all i have something like a wistling noice under acceleration. I feel its coming from engine. Second when i inspect the belt visual, i feel its not sitting strong. Can someone please tell my how i can check if the belt is sitting there strong enough. Thank you for your help
  11. Thank you for sharing your information. I still have the issue. Car just had a service. These guys are not able to clear the problem. I ask them to open fuel tank and check everything. I am not a specialist but from my knowledge and experience it really feels like a fuel pressure problem. I will see, hope next week i will know more about.
  12. I still have this issue. Talking several times to mechanic. I guess they maybe did something wrong when they worked on my fuel pumps. Just my opinion. I will ask them one day to open fuel tank and check a lines there
  13. GREAT. Thank you for explaining me the story behind. I will not touch it until it makes problems.
  14. Great information. Thank you. Maybe i will do it in advance. Just one stupid question. What is this part doing? What is it for? Thank you
  15. Finally my update after some days and some km with The new battery; everything looks fine. Just onother lesson: The battery is a really weak part in this car. This is the second one within 16 month. If you drive your cayenne under special circumstances the alternator is not able to "recharge" the battery. Long winter in germany. Always city driving with lights on, heating system and and and. If your car is doing strange things, the battery is a possible Reason. It happens with me now second time. Spent 150 dollar and the headache is gone. Thank you everybody for helping me.
  16. Jesus. What to expect from a porsche service guy if he didnt notice this. They changed battery 2 times and they never had a look at this wires. Scares me. Do you know from where to get a diagramm to check these wires? Thank you very much
  17. Oooooh you are serious? Many times the car was checked by piwis and never show any AIRBAG faults
  18. mcbit500 was right i guess. i changed the battery . no problems so far and there is a feeling - maybe placebo effect - the car is driving different. thank you all for try to help me. by the way........... first time i pay attention to all the wires and connections under the seat. there are 2 yellow clips. just one is connected , the other one is closed with a tape. anyone a clue for what these connections are? tom
  19. With our cars you need a good hand or a very good accountI checked the speed sensors. Difficult to reach. Just the drivers side i found. Disconnect and checked. No visual damage. Tomorrow i will install new battery.I was driving arround all day . Stop and go. Parking. Waiting. Highway . Everything. No complaints. I am thinking to take the car to BOSCH Sevice. Maybe they will find anything
  20. I know. This car is full of surprises. Just under the car. Looking for the speer sensors
  21. I have a usual suspension with Eibach lowering springs. I will go for a new battery and check the speed sensors on all wheels today. But as i remember, a bad sensor must throw out a code. Isnt it?
  22. Today in the morning the same. Starting and driving to shopping mall. No problem. Spent there one hour. Come back and want tondrive home. No way. Takes me 30 minutes to male him run again. Frustraiting
