  1. I also used the same technique as Orient Express since double sided tape did not hold good enough, even after the first week. Three years now and everything is still in place! It takes more time & effort but i think is the right way to do it. Nikos.
  2. Thank you, once more, Loren for your great help!!! Nikos.
  3. Could someone please check a couple of part numbers for a friends Euro 2004 996 C4S Cabrio? 1) Part number 986/996 701 105 00 Is that the correct p.n. for the Number Plate Carrier Rectangular-Euro Shape? 2) I am also looking for the p.n. for the 'Front Lock Panel Cover Trim for Porsche 996' (i.e. the black plastic cover inside the front trunk where the red safety for the hood is, and have found the following two 996.504.811.00.01C and 996.504.811.02.01C. TIA, Nikos.
  4. One more question of the same idea Is the following part number for the sport-thicker steering wheel or just the leather 3-spoke steering wheel? 996 347 804 54 A28 TIA, Nikos.
  5. Well, i paid €700 for my 40.000km about 6 months ago but that did not include any alignment on the car. What they did was to change oil & air filters (engine and passenger), oil, spark plugs and do all the necessary checks on the car. Nikos.
  6. Unfortunately i do not think there are much you can do... I think the only solution is changing the parts and hope they are not very expensive. The soft material is quite sensitive and needs a lot of attention. Nikos.
  7. The front boot on the C4 is much smaller (especially in depth) , the spare tyre is not inflated and is located at the bottom of the boot. You can find many pictures of the front boot of both the C2 & C4 so that you can understand what i am saying. Nikos.
  8. Thanks for all your trouble and the information. B) I already have the maps but will contact the guys you mention an see what they tell me. Nikos.
  9. I would also be very interested in any help, if that is not a problem... :) TIA! Nikos.
  10. Hi Loren, i did read both TSB's (for both Aerokit Cup and Aerokit II kits) but i did not find that part number, and i noticed as you mention that it is not complete. The epoxy ant the other parts needed, do i get them from the Porsche Dealer? Can i also use two-sided tape as used for the aerokit II or not? I am thinking whether to buy these or get the aerokit II side skirts which might be easier to fit to my car. Regards, Nikos.
  11. Could someone please inform me what this part number corresponds to? It is supposed to be a Mk1 Aerokit Side skirts. Is that correct? I have found a used set of the side skirts and want to find out if that is the correct one. Anyone knows if i can get the hardware needed to fit these from Porsche or somewhere else, if they are not included? Regards, Nikos.
  12. Loren i was told the the part number that you gave me (000.044.500.35) is the X74 kit and not the ROW M030. I should have suspected that since you mention Lowering kit 30mm. Do you have the part number for the ROW M030? TIA, Nikos.
  13. Hello, i did a search on the forum but i do not want to make a mistake, so could someone (Loren  ) inform me of the correct part number for the ROW 030 for my Euro, late 2002, 996 C4, Coupe, 6-speed? TIA!!! Nikos.
  14. I decided that after having the silver dash strips in my garage for more than a year it has high time i fitted them. I read all the posts thoroughly and decided to take the plunge...It all took me 2 hours (but i must say i had some experience removing most of the parts from previous installations (PSE, Cruise control stalk etc.) and the most difficult part has removing and fitting the driver's strip. I found it necessary to remove the driver's side air vent, and even with it removed i now have quite a lot of scars on both my hands...It is very tight at that side and a small hand is needed!!! All in all it is not that difficult, you just need a lot of patience if you want to do a factory work! I like the end result but i am not doing that again!!! Thanks for all the excellent instructions!!! Nikos.
  15. I also performed this same modification last week with almost the same parts. I now have an even deeper sound out my PSE equipped car, and you even noytice it with the PSE on silent mode. Very happy with the result, the whole modification is straight forward and 100% reversible. Nikos.
  16. Hello, could someone please inform me if that is the thicker sport steering wheel or the standard leather steering wheel? It is supposed to be a steering wheel from a 996 Turbo. TIA, Nikos.
  17. Hello, these are some interesting results... I was also interested in doing a PSE-on and off dyno on my car, when i first fitted it, but never found enough spare time. I guess the figures that you state are with the K&N intake and not wheel power, right? What ECU upgrade have you chosen? I think the results after this upgrade would also be interesting. Regards, Nikos.
  18. Michali , they told me that same thing 8 months ago and still nothing... I would be very surprised if the finally produced a CD version that includes Greece but i am no longer counting on that. My brother and i fitted an OEM Navigation unit on my brothers Golf GTi with an OEM European DVD that includes Greece but i have to say that has very small coverage... I think it will take years before we get a dissent map for this country... If you are in Athens this weekend i will phone you to arrange a meeting! Nikos.
  19. Once again, thank you Richard for all your help!!! I knew that they did something wrong...I must say that they spent at least 30 minutes trying to figure out what they should do. I tried to help them by sharing some of the information that i got from this thread so they did code the instrument cluster and the Green Cruise Control light goes on when i start up the car but that is the only thing that happens. I guess i have to pay my dealer another visit, when i find the time, and tell them to activate the DME as well in order to complete the whole process. When everything works properly i am going to laugh at their faces because they kept telling me that i messed up with the electronics & i SHOULD leave that to authorized technicians!!! :censored: :censored: Thank you Richard for all your help!!!
  20. Hello again, i went to my Dealer today for my first service (40.000km first major service) and what an experience that was!!! I paid 800 Euros for a plain service (spark plugs, oil & oil filter, air filter, cabin filter and one engine coil-plug)!!! No other work performed on the car!!! Anyway, i told them to code the locks so that the car locks automatically when i am on the move & also activate the cruise control! Everything seems to be ok, the green cruise control lamp goes on in the instrument cluster when i turn the ignition on, but the stalk does not work, i.e. i can not activate cruise control when i turn the engine on! I guess i have made some mistake with the wires, right? Can someone please verify that the following wiring diagrams is the correct/working one for my 2002-3 996 Carrera 4? What the dealer did was to go on the 'Instrument Cluster' tab, then 'Coding' and tick the 'With Cruise Control'. Was there something more needed, because it was the first time they had done such a thing! Cluster --- Stalk C17 --- Position 1 B7 Fuse --- Position 2 C4 --- Position 3 C1 --- Position 4 Thanks in advance! Nikos.
  21. Could someone please help me indicating what the following part number 996 426 011 07 corresponds to? I think it has something to do with the OEM shifter kit, but want to know what exactly it is and whether it fits my 2003 ROW 996 C4. TIA! Nikos.
