  1. Well you did ask..... someone must be thinking ahead of you.... (all you need is the Porsche Design sticker) http://www.improvementscatalog.com/home/di...Cup-Holder.html
  2. I could never understand why any performance car manufacturer fits these to cars. Stick to drinking in coffee in coffee shops and concentrate on driving whilst in the car!
  3. Save your money on the car upgrades for now and get yourself of a Porsche track course. The limit on the cars performance is really the driver and even with a unlimited budget to spend on the car you can't expect to push it any harder without good training.
  4. Hi Nick, I used 996.613.219.10EWC on my 03 Boxster S so I can't really comment on that but I can confirm you have to run power and ground, both are easy though. The power can come from a wire tab behind the fuse box and for the ground there is a convenient screw behind the cluster that is often used for OBC anyway. Chris. Thanks for the update on the Boxster information. However, on the 996 with cruise is there an existing power feed to the 3 stalk switch that can be utilised? (Got rid of wifes TT roadster, she now has the 996)
  5. Is the 4 stalk switch with the number 996.613.219.00EAK the same as the newer part with the number 996.613.219.10EWC? Is the older version compatible with that required for a 2004 Boxster S if not will it go into a 2000 996 C2? I know there are many posts for the retrofit but for the 2000 996 C2 which has cruise as standard and assuming the OBC is enabled. Do you still have to run the power and ground to the switch or is it a much simpler retrofit?
  6. The manual you are after is available to from the drop down list above under the Porsche Owners Manuals. Slect this then the Becker/Porsche Manual. The PCM manual is listed here.
  7. I am aware that the C2 bag clips onto/over the spare wheel. I am picking up a wind stop 2nd hand but no bag....so if you know the part number.....
  8. Part number for the storage bag for the wind stop fitted to a 2000 C2
  9. I was comparing the opening sequencing of the cabrio top on my Boxster against that of my wifes 996 cab and noticed something very different..... When you unlock the latch on the Boxster the windows drop about 6 inches to allow the top to open, but stay this way when the top is fully open. On my wifes 996 cab, the windows drop in a similar way when you use the switch to open the top. However on the 996 when the top is fully open the windows return to the closed position. Much more useful I hear you say. So why the difference or is this a fault on my Boxster ???
  10. Does the wheel tracking need adjusting post the installation of the stock 5mm wheel spacers?
  11. What is the part number of this Aluminium version of the six speed shifter. What models was this fitted too?
  12. Do either of you have the short shifter fitted to your cars ?
  13. Is the brushed metal warning light surround a porsche part? If so what is the part number and do they also do one of these for a 04 Boxster ?
  14. No, I don't think so. The center vent shape is different on the MY02 and newer cars. But if you want to try I can get you the parts lists... I may try this as we also have a Boxster (assuming the parts ar the same) that we can swap the parts from to at least see if this is feasible. I will let you know how we get on.
  15. Option code X54 is not in the code look-up so what is it ??
  16. Thanks for the number. A follow-up question, can the individual pieces of the surround be replaced by the single horseshoe as fitted to the later models?
  17. 2000 996 C2 Cab - Black Surround thanks
  18. Are the 5mm wheel spacers fitted to the 987 the same as the ones that were fitted to the 986?
  19. Part numbers for the 'horseshoe' parts that surround the radio and air-conditioning controller. (not the single 'horseshoe' that is fitted in the latter models but the left/right and top seperate parts.)
  20. I concur with that too having had two visits to the OPC, they wouldn't let me anywhere near the test set though! So is there someone across this side with a PST2 I ask myself?
  21. This was the info I gave to the OPC with no joy. I just would like to try this myself without the sceptical/costly guy from the OPC.
  22. Does anyone have access to a PST2 that I can use to enable the OBC and cruise on my 04 Boxster S? I have tried two local OPCs and their PIWIS with no joy even with the detailed instructions from here, so maybe its locked out. So if anyone can help with a PST2 that would be great.
