  1. Oops ! I've forgotten to update my profile...now MY07 997 GT3 RS. I've posted here because this is a general 997-1 question. Thanks again.
  2. has not set their status

  3. Thanks for the reply, Loren. But how to remove the whole trim panel ? I need to do some work here and I want pull of all the console...
  4. Anyone knows how to remove the roof console ? I'm referring to the plastic curved console on the roof, above the rear mirror, containing the interior lights and the sunroof button. I think that I must remove the lights first, then some screw should be found here. True ? Thanks in advance.
  5. Owners Manual. I am not aware of GT3 RS service manual - everything is in the PIWIS tester now. I looked thru the PIWIS and didn't see the RS in there. The R, RS, and RSR models are from Porsche Motorsports not Porsche of North America and have seperate workshop manuals for each year. What year GT3 RS are you looking for? MY 2007 GT3 RS. Regards.
  6. Owners Manual. I am not aware of GT3 RS service manual - everything is in the PIWIS tester now. Ok. Thanks, Loren.
  7. Is this the owner's manual or the workshop manual ? I'm interested on the workshop one... Regards.
  8. Anyone knows how to repair a gearshift cap ? I've the carbon one on my MY08 GT3 RS and the plastic cap with the gear pattern at the top is dammaged by some scratchs caused -I suppose- by a 'sharp' ring used by the previous owner. I know that there isn't replacement only for this cap, if dammaged, you must change the whole gearshift, but the carbon one is really expensive, so remove this piece and do some repaint would be a good solution... Any idea will be wellcome. Regards.
  9. Very nice pictures, Juanki...specially the one with the genuine Meridian Blue matts... :P
  10. A friend of mine has the same problem with his Cayenne Turbo. Any news about this issue ?
  11. Hi all, I'm looking for a MY06 Cayenne Turbo S front ashtray replacement with a generic tray instead. Is this possible ? What means exactly the option 9JA "Non-smoker package " ? May be I can play with this... Thanks in advance.
  12. Hi all, I've planed to remove the phone handset on my 996TT MY03. I use the phone hands-free, so I don't use the handset. Today, I've received the standar lateral cover for replace the complete handset, but when I try to remove it -assuming that is clipped, as I can see on the new cover- I feel some resistance, so may be its fixed by a screw... Anyone knows how to remove it ? TIA
  13. Thanks, Loren. My car is ROW (spanish) version, so only the driver's belt is controlled by the system. Sure, the problem is on this buckle, but the question is what about this repeating faillure: three times in the past 12 months is so much... Thanks again.
  14. Hi all, Five months ago, I've noticed a permanent belt warning faillure on my MY03 996TT, and Porsche Service replaced the belt base connection; this replacemend was made at no cost, because the previous owner has replaced too the belt base due to a similar issue. Coming home today, driver seat belt properly attached, I have noticed that the belt warning alert is erratically on and off. When on, moving softly the belt connection base restores the normal condition, but belt warning apperars just awhile. One more touch, and warning is gone, it appears again...and so on. This issue seems to be related to the belt's base electrical connection, but considering the previous replacements, it sounds that this repeating problem may have other causes. What should I check ? Any ideas ? TIA
  15. Solved ! The problem was at the master light switch. When replaced, the cluster illumination works as expected.
  16. Loren, thanks again. Eric says that they don't have it. I can order a specially painted center console with the non smoking tray, but this is a hard solution for my aesthetic purposes... Dommage.
  17. Loren, thanks for the info. I want one exactly as yours... But mine is metropol blue... This tray has been made anytime in metropol ?
  18. Hi all, I'm looking for a Non-smoker storage tray for my 996TT MY03. I want to replace the astray (currently, only for coins) by a more usable storage tray. I've see some posts about this, and I know the part number (996 552 096 01 XXX for the main tray, and 996 552 596 00 for the rubber) but it seems that is no longer available. Interior color of my car is Metropole Blue, so I think color code of the part number will be G11... Any ideas about where can I found it ? TIA.
  19. Solved ! Foam cord works. The noise is gone.
  20. Beecher, thanks for the reply. I've considered speakers and other elements, but the fact that this noise disappears when I wash the car seems to focus it on the windshield area. The foam cord is very cheap, so I'll try it. Thanks again.
  21. Hi all, I can hear a rattle noise on the windshield area of my 996TT MY03 when driving at very low speed on bad roads. This noise is present, for example, on a macadamed street, or when I pass over a sound band. I've tried to isolate it, and it seems that this noise is coming from the windshield area, not from the dashboard itself. Curiously, when I wash the car, the noise is gone for about a a quarter, so may be this noise is related to the external windshield seal or frame. I think that on wet condition, this rubbers seems to be more elastic or slidable... I've see the TSB 6420 "Noises at the Windshield and Rear window": this document explains how to place a foam cord in the gap between the body and the trim frame. Anyone has used it ? Any other solution to similar issues ? TIA.
