  2. 2003 Porsche 996tt I want to remove my DME from the car because I think the car has a tuned program on it,so I like to buy a NEW Porsche DME unit and install it. I don't want to copy the Old DME program from it. I have my IPASS CODE in hand and a PST2 Unit. Question is do I use my OLD IPASS CODES when programing the New DME Unit . or does the Dealer get me new IPASS CODES for the New DME unit to program it ? I will guess and say use the OLD IPASS CODES to program it I think they stay with the car. I Have three codes: 1-Learn Code 2-DME Program Code 3-Immobiliser Code
  3. So my car with 4 O2 sensors should be set on ODBII ? Not RoW.
  4. Loren: On page two it says 3. The data record can be changed, e.g. from RoW to OBDII ? Is this talking about the seven rows of data that the car uses to run correctly and that tuners use to change timing ,boost, ect, ect

  7. Yes.. So I have my Ipass Codes from the dealer so I transfer the Dme programing code and the immobilizer code to the new unit. What about the mileage for the car? If I buy a used DME same thing ? One with tune, second to pass inspection .
  8. Do you get the I-Pass Codes from a Porsche Dealer when you buy a new DME/ECU p# 996-618-606-01 so you can program that unit or do they program it with your vin number and mileage when you go and pick it up at the dealer ? Want to have a second DME so I can put a tune on my car ,don't want to mess with the DME that in the car now. That's why I want a second DME.
  9. Thank you for all the input and I didn't know that the stock maps are all stored on the PST2. Which I have one on hand also all I-pas codes from my Porsche. Question: Is there any way to save the Promoitve map that is on the DME now ? So I can go back and forward from stock to performance tunes.
  10. I like the flash from Protomotive. Can I buy a unsed DME and flash that unit to stock so I can get passed Mass Inspection time ? I think I need DME code (PST2) from Porsche for that used unit correct or does the tuner bypass it somehow ?
  11. Porsche 2003 996 TT Does any one have the factory DME Programing Engine mapping software that comes with a factory DME/ECU.I would like to upload if to my DME. Right now I have Protomotive software on the DME (from another owner) and I think they shut down some services like. Is there anyway to see if Protomotive has stop any service on the DME from the PST2 unit ? 1-Secondary air injection=Not ready 2-O2 sensor=Not ready 3-Cat Sensor=Not ready Or should I get go to another tuner to change the program that I have now I am trying to get a mass inspection sticker .
