  1. Tool Pants, Todd, Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look into both options. I must say that as a new Boxster owner, I find this site to be a wealth of information. Once the wheels are sorted, I think I will be ready for a DIY 60k service + new rotor/pads all around. Cheers cplus
  2. I noticed that one of the rear tires on my '02 968 S with 18" Sport Classic IIs had a slow leak. I figured I had picked up a nail or something similar, but when I pulled the wheel off to investigate, I found the lip of the wheel on the inside was actually cracked. The car is relatively new for me and new Dunlops were installed before I purchased it, so I'm not sure when or how this happened. Now I just need to figure out what to do. New wheels are nearly $700, so I'm thinking about purchasing a take-off from Wheel Enhancement or a refurbished wheel from the Wheel Collision Center. Has anyone ever deal with either of these companies, or have alternative? (eBay is another option, I guess.) This is what the crack looks like... On a related note, I was also thinking about having the wheels sent out to be cleaned up and powder coated. I believe Sport Classics are true two-piece wheels and the centers can be unbolted, can anyone cofirm this? If so, is there anything special about disassembly or reassembly, or having the powder coated, that I should take into consideration? What should the perimeter bolts be torqued to when they're reassembled? Thanks in advance!
