I'm adding the speaker enclosures to my 00 UK Boxster S which didn't have the m490 upgrade .
I've got hold of the speaker enclosures 996 645 011/012 01.
But which nuts and bolts do I need, there are 2 options shown. Either :
999 919 123 09 & 999 920 013 40
or
999 073 061 02 & 999 591 499 02
Any ideas?

I'm just weighing up the benfits/disadvatages of using the exisiting housing vs. wooden baffle.
Prob going for modifying the exisiting baffle

For the door speakers I recommend the Rainbow CS 265 X-Plain. These are German made speakers that have a very shallow mounting depth, the specs say 43 mm. They are a 6.5 and easily fit the space with the use of a baffle to take the place of the Nokia plastic things. They are a very quality speaker.
email me if you have any questions, thanks.
I've got a set of the Rainbow 265slcs that I'm going to try to mount to the doors. Did you modify the plastic speaker enclosure or did you create a new mounting board?
Any pics?

Well it looks like the pic ukchris put up, so its the airbad deactivation cable for a baby seat - won't be needing one of those for a long time!

I took out the passenger seat (its a UK car) to wire in the reverse signal wire for my Becker TP and amongst the wires under the seat there was a loose one, shown here as the top brown wire with a balck connector:
Any ideas what its for?

Hi Loren
Its a 2000 Boxster S
I'm not after the door cards themselves, just the part numbers for the black plastic speaker enclosures and the stick on membranes.
I'm over in the UK.
I'm going to be doing it myself and would rather use the OE speaker enclosures instead of attempting to cut a speaker mount out of wood.
Thanks

Hi
Does anyone know the part numbers for the speaker enclosures that are used in the doors? - both L and R
Also, does anyone know the part numbers for the membrane (for doors with speakers)? - both L and R
Thanks

I did this last week and yes, its as simple as Loren says. The top tray is the OE position.
