  1. Need help with a lost code. Model - 6624 ser# - 15004332 On a side note, I have an 02 S with the Bose stereo and the CR220 is not working but we swapped it out with a CDR220 and now no sound comes out. Are they not compatible? Boxster S that is
  2. Good info. Where is this yellow mark? I might as well replace mine if that's the case. Since I'm right there.
  3. So, I replaced the High Pressure Fuel Pump and that was the root of all the other strange codes. It was not as tough as I imagined and I hope to have the write up soon. Pretty simple just detailed job.
  4. lol, What ever way you prefer? Counterclock wise, clock wise, whatever just flip it around and that'll give you an idea.
  5. The high pressure fuel pump location is dependent on engine type HPFP V8 (Item 11) The exact schematic I got from Porsche. Turn it clockwise twice and you have your location
  6. Not the High Pressure that I'm going after. I did find it on the drivers side rear top of the engine and successfully swapped it out last night.Pictures and write up will be coming soon. Now the thermostat on the front :wrench: :help:
  7. I'm going in for the kill and will have a write up following shortly after. I'll be changing the thermostat and I believe the high pressure fuel pump is somewhere in the same area. This is where I need some help. If some one can confirm that the (high pressure) fuel pump is in fact near the front of the engine it would save me some time and trouble. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
  8. I'm hoping that its the high pressure fuel pump that I ordered from Sunset Imports. I get it in today!!!! Yay!. I'll have my hands full this weekend.
  9. So as of today, I went out and rescanned my codes and this is what I get now: P1026, P050D plus the other 3 that I posted: P2181, P12A1, and P2404. Needless to say that todays start was the worst and it had a horrible idle. Anyone?
  10. I changed the battery with no success. Codes still appear and trouble starting persists. It has a rough idle too :help:
  11. as far as the other codes: P12A1, P2181, and P2404 are all active. The Pepper is idling rough now and takes along time to start. I dont want to drive it until I figure this out. Please help
  12. The active codes I get are as follows: P2404, P12A1 and P2181. Has anyone had their Cayenne act funny as in: Cranks for a long time before it starts, I cant give it too much gas before it starts hesitating, stuttering, and smell of burning lean? Need help here
  13. Hello all, As stated in the header I am having some trouble with my Pepper. It started out when I was towing my boat and the CEL came on. Then I noticed it wasnt accelerating like normal and would stall when I give it some gas. It does smell like its not burning fuel properly. Any suggestions would be tremendously appreciated?
  14. Any more updates on this? I've got the factory nav on a 08 CS but am wanting to add bluetooth and satellite radio so this may be an option. Which device works best for our double din?
  15. Good information. I have code P2181 displaying the CEL. No abnormalities on the temp. Not saying that it blocks every 300-400 miles just that the CEL comes back on after being cleared. After codes are cleared the dash displays SERVICE NOW every start is this for oil change? I just bought this Pepper and was going to do any maintenance now. Also, got code P2404 this last time but I'm not sure what the reed switch is.
  16. I dont know if there is a update kit for the pipes inside the 08 957 V8 yet. Should I be concerned?
  17. Yes, and they do. Today was the first day I saw the P2404 but P2181 returns every 300-400 miles.
  18. Was just in another forum and they is a big issue with these plastic cooling pipes and which years have them. My understanding is that the (03-06) 955 4.5 engines are having these issues and I'm hopeful that Porsche corrected the issue for the next gen 957 4.8 engines. My view is this, since I'm going to be in there anyway I might as well replace the pipes if they are still plastic. I plan on keeping this Pepper for a while so I really prefer for it to be worry free especially since I live in 100 plus degree temps. Anyone here have any experience on this?
  19. No, I believe the last year of the Plastic cooling pipes was MY06. I have an 08 so I think I'm good on that subject.
  20. Wow, you are good. would you happen to know any recommendations to be done while I am switching out the thermostat? Also changing the housing, hoses, etc. On that secong one I am confused, where should I begin? Are there any TSB's? And THANK YOU
