  1. Yes. I understood which fuse gets removed. I was just wondering where the hacked fuses go. Into A9 and A6 regardless if you have heated seats or not?
  2. Thanks so much. However, in step 4 it says to remove the fuse for seat heaters. I don't have heated seats. Do I still put the "hacked" fuse into that location? Sorry...I'm a bit of an electrical idiot. :)
  3. I bougth a US model 911. I'm in Canada and I need the DRL on. I did a search here for "DRL" and it seems as though there is a hack/mod to easily do it. It was referred to as the "whiteson" hack. However, when I go to the link posted in the threads, it's dead. http://www.whiteson.org/boxster/mods/drl/ Does anyone have info on how I can do this? Thanks!
  4. Alex, The "Ruger Classic" looks like Fuchs. It comes in 19" and Porsche fitments. I think they look sharp.
  5. No effects.on the A/C. The blend door has several round cut outs in it. With the foam on, it essentially makes the door "solid" and allows blending. Without the foam, the air merely blows through the door regardless of position it's in.
  6. As far as I understand it, the foam allows the blend door to regulate between hot/cold air. If you don't need the hot air for heat, I don't see why it would be a concern to leave it as is
  7. Is it the same as a 1999? I see there's a pump for 1999 and then it changes fire model year 2000. With the one from 2000+ work for my 1999?
  8. My secondary air injection pump seems to be on the way out. Squealing..and setting off the Check Engine light. I have a couple of questions. 1. Is it too late to take apart the pump and clean/regrease it? 2. Anyone know where I can get a suitable replacement?
  9. You'll be fine. Unless you're driving at 10/10ths on the street or in poor conditions. I deliberately bought my 996 without PSM to keep the driving experience as pure as possible.
  10. There's nothing wrong with my headliner. No rips, no tears. It's just the crossbar under the headliner that's come loose. I can hear the mounting bracket rattling.
  11. There's nothing wrong with my headliner. No rips, no tears. It's just the crossbar under the headliner that's come loose. I can hear the mounting bracket rattling.
  12. Is there a DIY for removing the headliner...at least the rear portion of it? The transverse support rod which is located at the seam in the headliner about midway from sunroof to rear windows is hanging down. It seems to have come out of its mount or perhaps the mount is broken. There is an audible "clinking" noise with the rod bouncing around. And forget about driving around with the moon roof open or windows down..the rods bounced uncontrollably in the wind. There is about 2"+ of play. Therefore I need to remove the rear portion of the headliner to gain access to this support rod and see what's going on here. Can anyone help with this? Or offer any insight? Thanks much!! ~R
  13. So if you end up making the door/flap essentially "solid" with duct tape...why wasn't the door solid from the factory? What's the point of the round cut-outs?
