  1. Thank you for posting this orthotist, it has helped me a lot, annoying sound has now gone!!!
  2. Thanks rpcc, it is hard to tell, first thought it was coming from the passenger side footwell, but would seem to be coming from behind the centre console, behind the sat nav, stereo area. I will have to get it looked at, but will try the pulley first, I have just noticed a quiet squeaking noise when turning the steering wheel when parking and at slow speed. Thanks for the info, hopefully this will solve the problem.
  3. Thanks for your reply, there is no crunching or grinding sounds, just the high pitched whistle, like a old kettle on the stove. It comes and goes, drove for about 1/2 an hour today and only made the sound for a few seconds, but usually more frequent.
  4. Bought an 06 S about 4 months ago and absolutely love it, had the coolant pipes replaced after covering the poor person behind me in water and coolant when the pipes burst. I am now experiencing a whistling/ screeching noise when doing more than about 20 mph after about 15 to 20 minutes of driving, as if when getting to a certain temp. Almost like a metallic noise, but completely stops when the car is not moving. Done the usual checks, fluids, pads etc. but no expert. Any thoughts on when this could be? Wheel bearing? Power steering issue? Or (hopefully not) drive shaft? Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks.
  5. I had the same problem with mine, would close on the catch but not 'pull in'. Would drive off and get the boot open warning light. You may have done this already but check there is no debris underneath the little flap where the mechanism slots into. I had a small stone stopping it closing properly.
  6. Any update on this as I have the same annoying noise, any info would be appreciated - thanks.
  7. I have a 06 s and just watched your video after searching for ages, I have the exact same noise and it driving me mad! Not there all the time though and completely stops when the car is not moving. Did you find out what it was?? Please let me know. Thanks.
