I was able to retrofit a spare wheel with jack and took kit from an older Boxster (986) into my 2007 Cayman (987.1). Clears front lid without touching. Takes up some of the space but I prefer spare and regular tires as opposed to run flat tires.

Hello, I have just part ex'd my beautiful 2009 Carrera S for a Cayenne as we are expecting a baby, needs must and all that. I am delighted with the Cayenne, its a 2011 diesel with a high spec and 21 inch turbo 2 rims. After the purchase I was irritated to hear from the dealer that there is no space saver option for that size wheel, just the tube of gunk and a compressor. I am going to spend a lot of my time now driving from the UK to France where my parents live and I shudder to think what will happen if I have a full blow out on a French autoroute on a Sunday afternoon in a country that shuts down on the weekend. Does anyone know of any aftermarket options?
