Windows sequence when lowering the top

Recommended Posts

I was comparing the opening sequencing of the cabrio top on my Boxster against that of my wifes 996 cab and noticed something very different.....

When you unlock the latch on the Boxster the windows drop about 6 inches to allow the top to open, but stay this way when the top is fully open.

On my wifes 996 cab, the windows drop in a similar way when you use the switch to open the top. However on the 996 when the top is fully open the windows return to the closed position. Much more useful I hear you say.

So why the difference or is this a fault on my Boxster ???
