rear spoiler problems

Recommended Posts

i tried pretty much everyhting to figure out what is wrong with it w no success.

it only opens up halfway, and 2 days ago it would open up all the way, just in time for me to put my new decal on there, and then today it doesnt open up all the way at all.

i looked at the 2 relays in the rear trunk, switched them around...still the same thing.

looked at the fuse by the footwell...changed it, still same thing.

what else can i try and do to fix this anoying problem?

thx

Hi djomlas,

Did you manage to fix your spoiler?

I just had the same problem. Spoiler will not come up all the way, and the spoiler fault light (on the dash) did not come on. I have double-checked that it only comes up halfway when I reach 75mph.

When I took off the spoiler cover last weekend and try to raise and lower it manually, it fully extended once, and then revert back to the problem.

I went to the dealer, and this morning they mentioned something like "motor failed", and asked me to change out the motor for $900.

Thanks!

Toby
