4 Stalk Switch

Recommended Posts

Is the 4 stalk switch with the number 996.613.219.00EAK the same as the newer part with the number 996.613.219.10EWC?

Is the older version compatible with that required for a 2004 Boxster S if not will it go into a 2000 996 C2?

I know there are many posts for the retrofit but for the 2000 996 C2 which has cruise as standard and assuming the OBC is enabled. Do you still have to run the power and ground to the switch or is it a much simpler retrofit?

Hi Nick, I used 996.613.219.10EWC on my 03 Boxster S so I can't really comment on that but I can confirm you have to run power and ground, both are easy though. The power can come from a wire tab behind the fuse box and for the ground there is a convenient screw behind the cluster that is often used for OBC anyway.

Chris.

Thanks for the update on the Boxster information. However, on the 996 with cruise is there an existing power feed to the 3 stalk switch that can be utilised? (Got rid of wifes TT roadster, she now has the 996)

There aren't any power connections involved in the OBC retrofit. The stalk needs a ground connection, which it then connects to the appropriate pins on the cluster plug. If you want some simplified wiring diagrams for your MY drop me an email or PM.

You only need the power connection for cruise.
