Hi guys

I know this topic has been more than talked about , but the more that I search & read , the more confused I get!

I just finished installing a new sirius radio in my car (I have the stock becker cdr 220 in a 996 2001 cabriolet). I searched in the forums and got it up & running very nice.

However, I really don't like the looks of it just hanging there above my dash. I've decided to do things right and just go ahead and buy a good radio, something that would have cd player, nav. sys, sat. radio etc. A unit worth of building a good system from, with obviously better speakers and amp/s in the near future.

I have the cup holders & radio in the first two compartmnets, therefore making it easier I guess to fit a double decked unit in it.

Would you guys be nice to give me some ideas as to what to really look for, I was reading a forum about a guy that got himself an Eclipse and although the radio looks not only impressive but like the kind of radio I would like to have, he was mentioning that he had to fabricate a plastic I believe ring aroud it to cover the gap between the unit itself and the dash.

Are they all like that? I was kind of hoping that a little bit more straight foward installation would be available for this types of cars.

Anyways, any help you would send my way would be very appreciated!

Thanks
