2003 CS Transmission Issues with Updated Tip CU

Recommended Posts

All

I just purchased a 2003 CS with 27,750 miles. I took it into the dealer for the lates Recall for the air bag light and had asked them to check the Transmission because it was rough whe nI would first start in the morning and down shifiting was rough. They had told me that they had to replace the Tranmission Flow tube and updated Tiptronic CU part. Thanks for CPO it was covered under warrenty.

When I got the car back it seemed as though everthing was fixed until this weekend when I was traveling and at the Gas station I put the car into reverse and it did not move until I put it in Park and back into reverse. Then I was stucK in traffic and the car was in Drive and then I went to step on the gas and the car would not move. I stepped on the gas again and it was like I neutral dropped it into drive. The car seems to be coming out of gear. This is very sparatic and my CS is back at the dealer.

Has anyone experienced transmission issues like this?

In the most cases as your problem, they change the hydraulic valve bloc that's build in the gear box. You are not the only one with this problem.

Thank you for your input. I just got a call from the dealer and Porsche is having them run some tests on the electronics and they also think that it may be a mechanical issue. I will let them know about the hydraulic Valve bloc.

Thanks

Porsche had asked the dealer to run some specific tests on the car, I am not sure what the tests were. The out come is that Porsche has authorized the dealer to replace my transmission and Tip CU with a new one.

If anyone has had their 2003 Cayenne S transmission replaced I would like to know how it is working out and if you have had any more problems with the transmission.

Thanks

I got my CS back on 8/24/07 with a new transmission and updated software. All seems to be fine for now. I hope there are no more problems.

Thanks
