Replacing A/C drier

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about taking on this endeavor as m the local dealership was supposed to change it when they installed a replacement compressor, and they did not and now they tell me it'll cost $400 more to do it. Believe me I am looking for my copy of the work order but I cannot find it. Also can anyone tell me the time and cost of the dealer doing it. Thanks

A/C drier replacement 996 with circuit empty approx. 15 minutes, empty + vacuum + refill the system approx. 30 minutes in proportion the used machine. I have no idea concerning the price for 2 O-rings and the drier.

violaGT3,

As RFM mentioned. the tough part of this being a DYI is the evacuation and recharging the system after the drier replacement. Drier costs around $45 and you will need two new O-rings as well. ( Pelican Parts).

Good luck demosan
