99-01 Vs 02-04 911 Carrera

Recommended Posts

Other than the headlights horse power, and other inside goodies, why does the 99 Carrera look better from the profile view versus a 2002?

I really love my 99 C4 but I hate the front headlights, (Boxster, VW) and I dont want to buy a C4S or spend 10 grand trying to change the front.

Is it just me or are the 2002, higher, and longer?

The dealership hates me cause I never buy from them!

As an owner of an 03, I have to agree that profile looked better on the older cars. I actually like the new headlights, but the new bumpers (front and rear) don't look at nice from the side. I like how the earlier 996s drew inside as you look down from the bumpers to the wheels. The newer one looks out of balance some how from certain angles.

To answer your question, the bumpers are very different (front and back). Plus there are minor interior changes and such.
