Hey guys,

I have been thinking to get a whole new exhaust system for my 997tt, with an ecu upgrade, approximately to 550-560 hp.

I'm doing some research for lots of brands and i now got 3 selections left to choice. Which one would you choose? You can say any other brands if you tell the reason :P And I also would appreciate any experiences and feedbacks about any of those systems!

here are some videos that i've found in youtube and from those videos, i'm leaning a little bit towards to fvd race type exhaust, but i haven't decided yet, it's important to me to read some experiences and opinions first.

I just got a 2007 997 TT and I had a 997 C2S with the AERO Kit and Sports Exhaust that sounded just like the Tubi. I really like the deep gargle the Tubi makes. Not to make your decision any harder but I would go with the Tubi and I am in the process of pricing them out right now to put it on mine. Which ECU upgrade did you decide on? I still have not made up my mind on which one would perform the best for the money.

i just paid $6000.00 but i got the first set of TUBI tips in the US and they look really great. The car finally sounds like it should. Its like I told the sales man i felt like i was watching Star Wars on a High Def Projector with a little one channel speaker, now i have 5.1 suround sound with a subwoofer. the sound is nice and deep but not too loud. The sound inside is very minimal, great buy!!

I wold consider Cargraphic exhaust and their ECU upgrade... There guys' cars are racing in Tuner Grand Prix and won 2005,06 and 07....I heard one in person with headers, ECU upgrade, sport cats, sport filter and exhaust, it is just awesome....U should have seen the face of the owner......And u get the most gain in hp and torque with this setup cpmpared to other Porsche tuning companies...Search 4 it, u ll see what i mean......

I have also been looking into doing the exhaust, tuning and intercooler for my 07 TT. I made up my decision to have Porsche dealer in Houston to install the Tubi Regular with tuning. This will get me up to about 570 HP. I may add the Champion intercooler and that may add little power also.

Do it.. I just had my Chip done and the exhaust. The difference is amazing. My tuner used GT2 spark plugs as well (it was time for a service.) I love th eTubi system. Couldn't afford right now though... Good luck and post back after the works is done.

Thank you, Did you use the Tubi Regular or Tubi Race? My advisor at Porsche is asking me to go with Tubi Regular. What kind of chip and exhaust did you install on your car? What does GT2 spark plugs do for the 997 TT? My car only has 1250 miles now, so I am little reluctant to change out the spark plugs. They are going to put all my old ( but like new ) parts in the box that Tubi came in so that I can save them in my garage. I just had the i pod connection and blue tooth intergrated into my PCM. I have it scheduled with Porsche dealer in Houston to do the installation and tuning and intercooler next Wed. I am not sure what HP it will achieve. Can you explain the difference in driving and sounds?

I did the regular Tubi (200 cell cats.) The race version has no cats (illegal.).. My chip is GIAC. My tech suggested the GT2 plugs would work better with the chip and it was time for a service so it made sense. I also installed a K & N filter in the stock air box.. The car is noticably WAY faster!! The exhaust is very docile at cruising speeds and has a really nice growl when you get on it. There is almost no Turbo lag in first gear anymore. 2nd gear when the boost hits is insane.. And 3rd gear even more crazy. I started laughing the first time. I guess I have around 560 Hp now and 580 lbs of torque. It's insane......

Nothing will come close to your car after these mods unless it's another Turbo with more mods... Yours will be even faster than mine becuase your doing the intercoolers as well. You're going to love it..

Keep us posted
