Power door locks question

Recommended Posts

I have been searching but could not find what I am looking for. Is there any way to make the horn beep when you lock or unlock your car. I remember seeing something on that subject a while ago, but can't seem to find it . It is very annoying when you press the lock button, and really don't know if the car is locked or not. I am sure there has to be something out there. My Porsche is a 2004 C4S Cab. Thanks.

There is no factory way to get an audible alert...if you do as tool pants suggests, the alert is telling you there is a fault in the alarm system. You can also press the lock button twice, but this disables the interior IR sensor. There is a product made by mods4cars that says it will do this.

Thanks for the response. The open lid works for now, but the mods4cars is what I was looking for. I will also work on extending the remote range, because right now if I am more than 5 feet away, it will not work. Thanks again everyone.
