Please help, 99' convertible stays down.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm new to Porsche, I have just purchased a 1999 Boxster and my first problem I'm running into is that when I put down the top it will not come back up. I attempted to do some research and I checked my fuses and relay. At first the convertible light would stay on and the windows would only stay half way up. And after messing around with the relays now the light is off the windows go all the way up but the top still stays down. I would greatly appreciate some assistance with my issue. thank you very much in advance. On another note is the time and speedometer lights supposed to stay on after youturn the car off?

Update: After reading more about it I fiddled withthe sensor in the middle that the "clam"connects to and held the close button and it closed. But not it will not open what could be the fix? The light is off.

Make sure the parking brake is on, the top is in open position (windows will go down a couple of inches), and press the button. It should work.

Good Luck!
