Cabrio hydraulic pump or line leaking

Recommended Posts

My 99 Cab top was getting slow to put up or down --- so I used this list to put in more fluid. Worked great for a short period of time. I have filled the reservoir twice but it is leaking on the passenger side -- just in front of the rear wheel. How do I get to the lines and/or pump?

I presume I will have to remove the rear wheel and inner rear fender panel. Thanks for a great forum.

You can remove/change the pistons with the clam shell open and the convertible hood in service position. The rear wheel and fender can stay in place, they have nothing to do with a piston change.

Thanks -- RFM. Has anyone done this on this list. I read somewhere that a used pump - hoses etc was purchased and installed as Porsche does not have a reseal kit or hoses. The question is how do I get to that area? Not much room.

Thanks,

Chuck996
