Does the PSE flow better than the stock mufflers? I'm trading my Boxster in on a 40th Anniv.
There are no additional HP in any aftermarket muffler including the PSE (no matter what their ads say). To get more HP you would also need to change out the cats, headers and re-program (chip) the DME.

Loren has absolute right, sport muffler alone do give any gain of HP, but then if you upgrade the headers & cats (100-cell), it would be stupid not to upgrade the mufflers to sport muffler to get better flow.

and then not forgetting, to let air pressure out you will need to get air, so airfilter/airbox is also an important tuning part.

PSE is much louder than stock, and it sounds very throaty at low revs. Beware it has to break in - when you first install it, you may get scared about what you have done (I did), but it quickly mellows out to a sound you should love.
