price for 1978 911 turbo

Recommended Posts

An acquaintance of mine has a 1978 Porsche 911 turbo wide body, I do not know the exact specs but I saw it before with race stickers/decals of that famous porsche race car driver/tandem? I am not familiar with this model year so I am asking if anyone knows. I asked my friend before if he is going to let it go and he said to the right person and I guess to the right price. It has 20,000 + miles. He collects race cars. He also has a ferrari 308 ? the one on magnum PI. So I know he takes care of his cars.I would like to know how much should I offer?

I'm not sure how much this is going to help, but we got our 79 SC Targa for $15k. I took a look at another one about a month ago (81 Targa) and they were asking $16,900.

Note those weren't turbos and I don't have any idea how much more value that will add but at least you've got a starting point.

a 78 930 w/20k miles should bring $30k+ easily if it's in mint condition and documented,

please note: if it's a RoW (Euro spec) and the odo is in miles it's been swapped as the original odo for a Euro spec car would be in km
