2 Questions- Mystery Wire? Missing spare?

Recommended Posts

On the trim around the rear door, passenger side, I saw a plastic part. I started pulling it. I have no clue what it is. looks like a light sensor of some sort.

Also, I have seen that some cayennes didn't come with a spare- it was an option. I am trying to figure out whether mine came with one and/or can I put one in. Is it possible to place a spare over the woofer?

The other fellow is correct. There are two sub sizes. I have the one you have and the spare definitely fits around it. If you had the other model you would not even be asking the question as there is absolutely no room around it. The whole complaint was that the smaller didn't make enough bass so they made a bigger one and offer the full-size spare for the hatch door.

I bought a perfectly good spare for my '04 CTT off ebay and now I have the spare and the Bose sub.

I did a search for you on ebay and there is someone (not me :) ) selling a spare... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-PORSCHE-...emZ120315181446

Bid $350 or BIN for $395

Its funny about the bass thing becuase on an impulse buy I bought another Bose sub because I didn't think mine had one or it wasn't working. So now I have a spare. I've read that you can tap into the Sub cable and use a line level coverter and gets some power in the back to run a real amp and sub... hrmm... maybe one day...

It depends on the sub size. there are 2 sizes, my guess is not

Will the optional spare fit over the woofer?
